About Mademoiselle Bon Plan

I’m Gaëlle, a Parisian by adoption, and I am in love with the capital and all the discoveries it has to offer. I created this blog in October 2011 to share my tips, outings, discoveries, favorite addresses, travels, and personal favorites.
This blog is not how I earn my living, and I have a full-time job alongside my blog, which leads to a crazy schedule as you can imagine.
Among my many tests (whether they are restaurants, hotels, trips, beauty salons, etc.), a large portion of these are invitations that I receive from different providers. If I have been invited, I try to specify it in the body of the article; if I don’t say anything about it, it means I paid for it like a normal customer (which also happens to me, rest assured).
Another important point: just because I am invited does not mean I lose my free will. I try to remain objective (in relation to my tastes, obviously) and to pass on what I sincerely thought of the experience. If I really hated a place or an experience (which rarely happens, as I try to carefully select the offers I receive), I will not talk about it on my blog.
One last point: I negotiate quite fiercely for endowments with my partners to be able to offer you lovely prizes in the various giveaways that I organize via my blog or my social networks. I always try to negotiate to receive the prize as well, but know that sometimes you are the only ones to benefit from them (you lucky ones).
About the favorite photographer
Most of the photos illustrating the blog are by me or my favorite photographer, Nicolas (or the man with the hat, it depends!), who is also my partner (incidentally!). Since he is a professional photographer and videographer, his help allows me to focus on writing the articles, which are already time-consuming enough… To discover more of his work, I invite you to take a look at his site or his Instagram.

The blog’s photos are not free to use (even for posting on social networks) and it is forbidden to download them without his prior consent. You can contact him for this at this email address: nicolas.diolez[at]gmail.com.
And on the @mellebonplan Instagram account?
The majority of photos and videos posted on my Instagram account are those of Nicolas. A small portion are taken by me with my mobile phone, a Samsung S23, when I want to post in the moment to keep that spontaneous and less edited feel.
My contributors
Today, I only have occasional contributors: Julie for Cinema and Valérie for Culture, but they only publish a few articles a year. This is because I really want to personally handle all the other sections of the blog.
