Today I’m sharing a great sports tip linked to a summer music festival with you.
Indeed, for its 4th edition, the major musical event Big Festival is once again welcoming the O’Neill Academy Surf team from July 19 to 22, 2012, at Côte des Basques in Biarritz.
During these four days, international surf professionals will offer free introductory lessons to board sports. Understanding the environment, preparing equipment, competitions, etc., will all be on the program.
Professional surfers will be present at the village to introduce children aged 6 to 16 to the practice of board sports for free.
Before jumping into the water, the instructors will share essential knowledge about the environment with them and assist them in preparing their equipment. The first hours of surfing will be followed by a well-deserved picnic.
Throughout the day, apprentice surfers will be able to put the pros’ advice into practice and get autographs signed, before heading home with O’Neill goodies, specially prepared for the occasion.
A morning “Out of bounds” session is also organized on Thursday, July 19, to allow disabled children to discover the joys of surfing.
For 15 years, the goal of this event has been for its professional surfers to share their passion with hundreds of children.
