European Artistic Crafts Days

The European Artistic Crafts Days (JEMA) have been organized since 2002 by the Ministry of Crafts to highlight professionals in this sector, such as ceramicists, marquetry artists, gilders, luthiers, glassblowers, lace makers, art restorers… All eager to share their secrets! For this occasion, many free events take place all over France and Europe from April 7 to 12, 2026. Several options are available to the public, from marked themed tours to itineraries you can invent based on your own desires and curiosity. It is up to you to make your choices from a rich program, featuring craft demonstrations, exceptional open houses in training centers, and fun activities for children.

Mademoiselle Bon Plan’s selection in Paris and the surrounding areas:

  • The organization of the Printemps des Manufactures from April 10 to 12, where over three days, seven workshops and manufacturers of lace, porcelain, soap, and tapestry located throughout France open their doors to the public, offering a unique opportunity to discover the exceptional expertise they preserve.
  • The Zadkine Museum with 2 appointments: Lacquer Secrets with restorer Anne Jacquin (on April 8) and a demonstration with ornamental sculptor François Gilles (on April 10 and 11).
  • The Palace of Versailles with a special program highlighting the art and craft professionals that will be offered to all audiences, in line with the theme “Hearts at Work.” On Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, 9 winners of the 2025 Avenir Métiers d’Arts Prize from the Institut pour les Savoir-Faire français will present their creations in the Gallery of Battles.
