We are Gaëlle and Nicolas. Since 2011, Mademoiselle Bon Plan has gathered our outings in Paris, our weekends all over France and our trips a little further afield, always with a good meal on the programme. Gaëlle writes, Nicolas takes the photos and films: here we share the places we genuinely loved, and everything you need to know to go there yourself.

From Gaëlle’s blog to our shared adventure
Gaëlle started the blog in October 2011 to share her finds as a Parisian by adoption: exhibitions, restaurants, weekend outings. Nicolas soon became the articles’ “favourite photographer”, and the getaways kept coming, from Brittany to the Haut-Doubs and all the way to Quebec. Today, with more than 700 articles in English, we run the blog together.
Mademoiselle Bon Plan has never been Gaëlle’s livelihood: she has a full-time job alongside it, and a sometimes rather hectic schedule. So articles rarely come out as soon as we get back: first we sort the photos, check opening hours and prices, then write everything up.
To start, dip into our favourite finds in Paris, where it all began, or follow us by bike along the Avenue Verte, off to discover Limoges or on a getaway in the Gers.
The words, the pictures and everything else

Gaëlle, the writer
I have written the articles since the very first one, in 2011. The urge hasn’t changed: finding the place that’s worth the detour and giving you all the information to enjoy it in turn. I also take photos and videos with my phone, mostly for Instagram, when I want to share a moment as it happens.

Nicolas, the “favourite photographer”
I’m a professional photographer and videographer, and I take most of the blog’s pictures (depending on the day, you may also know me as the man in the hat). My Canon EOS R6 and my drone come with us on almost every trip, when the location allows it. You can see my work on my website and my Instagram account.
Interviews and the blog’s appearances in the media are gathered in Mademoiselle Bon Plan in the media.
