I mentioned this last year here but it’s still interesting information: for the Christmas holidays, from December 22, 2012, to January 6, 2013, numerous carousels will be taking over the capital.
Children will be able to hop on wooden horses and futuristic vehicles for free.
Like every year, nearly 20 carousels will be accessible to little Parisians in most of the city’s districts.
Below is the list of these Christmas carousels in Paris:
- 3rd arr.: Square du Temple
- 4th arr.: Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, with 1 carousel on the Rue de Rivoli side and 1 carousel on the Seine side
- 5th arr.: Edge of Square Saint Médard
- 6th arr.: Place Saint Sulpice
- 7th arr.: Place Joffre
- 8th arr.: 1 carousel at Place de la Madeleine and 1 carousel at Place de la Concorde (near the Ferris wheel)
- 9th arr.: Place Lino Ventura
- 10th arr.: Square Bonsergent
- 11th arr.: Square Père Chaillet
- 12th arr.: 130 Avenue Daumesnil (near the 12th district town hall)
- 13th arr.: Place d’Italie (at the corner of Avenue d’Italie)
- 14th arr.: Corner of Rue Didot / Rue Jacquier
- 15th arr.: Place Raoul Dautry
- 16th arr.: Place du Trocadéro
- 17th arr.: Place Docteur Félix Lobligeois
- 18th arr.: Square Louise Michel
- 19th arr.: Place Armand-Carrel
- 20th arr.: Rue Belgrand
I hope you all enjoy these Christmas holidays with your little ones!
