The start of the school year is a highlight of the Parisian cultural scene, during which Nuit Blanche stands out as a must-attend event.
This year, the 2017 edition (the 16th) will take place on the night of Saturday, October 7th (a rather special date for me since it’s my birthday) from 7:00 PM until the early hours of the next morning.

This new edition will feature two routes: the first in the Center will stretch around the Hôtel de Ville from the banks of the Parc Rives de Seine to the Gaîté Lyrique, passing through the Canopée des Halles; a second one will be offered in the Chapelle district up to the Rosa Parks station, passing through the Halle Pajol and the Centquatre.

Collectif (LA)HORDE at Halle Hébert
The idea: a night shoot around a ballet of machines, in a unique space never before open to the public.
Designed in different stages, the installation presented on the night of Nuit Blanche will allow you to stroll between the exterior and interior spaces of the Halle Hébert, never before open to the public. Along the route, your path will be punctuated by various visual or physical experiences that invite reflection on the construction of images and symbols.

Les Nivaux Cross The Scan-S21
After the success of the work Cross the Scan-Abbey road, a replica of the famous Beatles crosswalk presented during Nuit Blanche 2016 at the Centre Pompidou, the artist duo Les Nivaux is back for the 2017 edition with their latest creation. Named Cross the Scan-S21, the work is an exact photographic reproduction of the floor of a torture room at the S-21 prison that was used for the Khmer Rouge genocide in Cambodia.

Olivier Dubois at the Canopée des Halles
From the Tetris video game, we probably remember the catchy synthetic soundtrack as much as the colorful puzzle it accompanied. Similarly, we remember certain epic dance scenes depicted in cinema.
Mille et une Danses (A Thousand and One Dances) appropriates choreographic and musical excerpts from films and video games. By involving amateur musicians and dancers of different levels, they highlight how each individual takes ownership of and reinterprets these forms from the cultural industry.
