Shoah Memorial
If This Is a Man by Primo Levi is a classic of concentration camp literature, detailing the months spent in Monowitz-Buna, a camp belonging to the vast Auschwitz complex. The Truce is the account of his return. The camp was liberated by the Russian army on January 27, 1945, but Primo Levi would not return to his home in Turin until October 19, 1945. Between these two dates, the author takes us on an odyssey through an exhausted and disorganized Europe where life was struggling to restart. The text will be read by Mathieu Amalric for the Night of Museums, on the forecourt of the Shoah Memorial.

Time is at the heart of the history of La Poste, which played a central role in its measurement. Through the exhibition “The Time Factory,” the Postal Museum explores this theme and offers a unique nighttime program in parallel.
