Coming back to Paris after my fortnight in Cannes was a bit rough, and right from the start of the week, I dove back into the Parisian news that I felt like I had left behind a long time ago…
But not that long ago, because I still remember that next weekend, the We Love Green festival effectively kicks off the summer music festival season, which will keep us entertained all summer long.
We Love Green, which will be held on Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st, 2014, is the most bucolic and eco-friendly festival in the region, as it takes place in the Parc de Bagatelle (Bois de Boulogne, 75016 Paris).
The festival keeps a fairly family-friendly atmosphere with a large space dedicated to children, and musically, it seems the festival will be making more room for DJ sets this year.
On the program: Little Dragon, Cat Power, Pedro Winter, Lorde, and even London Grammar.
On the food front, you’ll find responsible catering, including tacos from Candelaria or a smoothie bar with Biocoop.
The extra touch: The festival’s unsold food and surplus will be collected by Phenix, a company specializing in giving a second life to products, to be redistributed for free to charities and transformed into solidarity meals for underprivileged groups.
Tips to enjoy on-site:
- A large, free green DIY workshop will be the meeting point for Do It Yourself fans who can exchange their ideas while crafting.
- Through the Cinémascope, a selection of documentaries and spectacular films on the themes of travel, exploration, and biodiversity will be screened during the festival.
- A “Beautiful Corner” featuring the brand Kiehl’s, with flower crown making, a Nail Art workshop, tattoos, and open-air yoga sessions.
