Séries Mania Season 4

The next edition of the essential television series festival Séries Mania will take place as every year at the Forum des Images from April 22 to April 28, 2013.

This season 4 will once again have free admission and offer a program as abundant as ever, combining pleasure and reflection.

The festival will offer in original version more than forty series from around the world, either new or as previews before their broadcast in France. Meetings with the creators, marathon screenings, conferences and round tables, as well as the organization of the first European television series co-production forum are the main highlights of the festival, which still features the Audience and International Press Awards.

• Opening night on Monday, April 22 at 7:30 PM with the screening of the first 4 episodes of the British series The Fear, with actor Peter Mullan in attendance.
• The first two episodes of Bryan Fuller’s new series Hannibal (because I loved Pushing Daisies) on Tuesday, April 23 at 9 PM.
• Season 2 of Showrunners, a documentary series about the real masterminds at the heart of the creative process for TV series: the showrunners. Tuesday, April 23 at 2:30 PM and Wednesday, April 24 at 4 PM.
• The first two episodes of House of Cards on Wednesday, April 24 at 8:30 PM. Just because, for starters, they are directed by David Fincher and, on top of that, the lead role is played by Kevin Spacey, I think no further reason is needed to try watching this series.
• The complete A Young Doctor’s Notebook on Thursday, April 25 at 8:30 PM starring Daniel Radcliffe.
• Start of season 3 of Game of Thrones on Thursday, April 25 at 9 PM with the screening of the first 2 episodes for those who had the courage, like me, to wait for the festival to see the start of this new season on the big screen. I already had this experience last year and it is really worth it!
• The conference “Six Feet Under, our lives without destiny” on Friday, April 26 at 6:30 PM, about one of the great HBO series whose finale left a mark on many series addicts.
• Full-night The Walking Dead season 3 on Saturday, April 27 from 10 PM to 6 AM!!! To spend a night of terror with our zombie friends. Having seen season 3, I highly recommend you go.
• In The Flesh, a new British series that revisits the zombie myth in a post-apocalyptic England, on Sunday, April 28 at 6:45 PM.
• A whole selection of world series to discover and take a closer look at, as I don’t know any of them.
• Closing ceremony with the start of season 2 of Girls on Sunday, April 28 at 8:30 PM (since I didn’t see season 1, it would be an opportunity to catch up…)
• Blind test every day from 5:30 PM to 6 PM, special TV theme songs in front of the jukebox.
