Calling all curious minds and enthusiasts, the European Artistic Crafts Days will take place, as they do every year, this first weekend of April.
On April 4th, 5th, and 6th, 2014, numerous artisan-creators from France and several European countries will open the doors of their workshops for free or present their work to the public at various off-site locations.
On the program: meetings with arts and crafts professionals, craftsmanship demonstrations, introductory workshops, exhibitions and fairs, open house events, and themed tours.
Melle Bon Plan’s outing idea:
A free Sunday with students at the National Museum of the Middle Ages in Paris, on April 6th from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
To mark the European Artistic Crafts Days, 20 students will present the collections from the perspective of creative techniques: painting, sculpture, stained glass, enamel, and ivory work. In parallel, students from the École Boulle will offer technical demonstrations, recreating the work of sculpture, chasing, and ornamental engraving workshops based on the museum’s collections.
Free admission without reservation
