This week, the blog is heading to Lyon for the Nuits Sonores festival. This electronic music festival has taken place annually in Lyon in May since 2002 and will therefore be celebrating its 10th anniversary with this 2012 edition.
This year, the festival runs from today, Wednesday the 16th, through Sunday, May 20th, 2012.
Once again, numerous concerts and events will be held in Lyon for the occasion, and naturally, I will be focusing on the festival’s free events.
Mademoiselle Bon Plan’s mini-selection:
- Mini Sonore, the program dedicated to children, offers many free activities throughout the festival: workshops, concerts, tours, and more.
- An exclusive meet-and-greet with Jean Michel Jarre will take place on Wednesday, May 16th at 2:00 PM, by invitation only.
- The Nuits Sonores Village features musical brunches, workshops, and artist showcases.
- Extra! the chic and free route of the festival takes place in unusual locations or public spaces, featuring an eclectic program: wild exhibitions, roof parties, mutant fashion shows, disco cruises, nightclubs for toddlers, street food, electro jogging, sumo fighting, photo safaris, culture crash, electronic pétanque, pirate radio, jackin’ installations, chic after-parties, 3D aperitifs, and more…
