A great wellness, health, and fitness tip on the blog today.

From Monday, June 3rd to Sunday, June 9th, 2013, the National Qi Gong Days will be taking place all over France. On June 9th, a special big day will even be dedicated to this practice at the Pagoda in the Bois de Vincennes.

Qi means breath or energy, and gong means work or mastery.

This gentle Chinese gymnastics style uses movements, body postures, and breathing exercises to circulate energy through the body and strengthen it. It helps in finding inner calm and relaxation.

Even though I have never practiced this discipline, this description strongly reminds me of yoga (which, for the record, I do practice).

Do you want to try out Qi Gong? Demonstrations and free introductory sessions are being offered all over France for this very occasion. For more information, head over to the website: www.federationqigong.com
