In this article, I invite you to discover my selection of the best rooftops that I have been able to explore and test in Paris. Of course, this selection is not exhaustive, and I will be adding new Parisian addresses on this theme as I continue my tests. You can also find my selection of the best Parisian terraces in this other article! Naturally, as is my habit, I regularly update this article with my new discoveries.

Zoku Paris rooftop with guests under a wooden pergola and hanging lights.

Zoku is a hybrid hotel located in the 17th arrondissement, offering a place to live, work, and socialize in Paris. It features coworking spaces, a restaurant called Living Kitchen, meeting rooms, and a fantastic rooftop. We tested it one evening at the end of August, and I must say we really loved the place. The rooftop is very pretty, filled with greenery, and it also offers live music on certain Thursday nights. On-site, the address offers cocktails, drinks, and some tapas to share.

Must try: the house gin & tonics (you choose your gin from a lovely selection of brands – prices between €12 and €15); there is also a selection of signature cocktails (between €11.50 and €13), we tested the Dark Daiquiri (€12.50); to share, we had the eggplant caviar (€9), the guacamole (€11), and the breaded camembert (€13).

Paris rooftop bar with view of the illuminated Eiffel Tower and guests dining.

I think this bar and rooftop offer one of the most beautiful views of Paris! Bramble is the summer cocktail bar for the Les Ombres restaurant by Alain Ducasse, located entirely outdoors on the rooftop of the Quai Branly Museum, facing the Eiffel Tower. I had already mentioned the food addresses at the Quai Branly Museum in a dedicated article.

On the menu in 2024, there were exclusive cocktails created in collaboration with Margot Combat, with whom I had already had the chance to take a cocktail class, and whom I told you about in my article on my selection of cocktail bars in Paris. In 2025, the cocktail menu is still just as great, inspired by the sun-drenched flavors of the Mediterranean. To accompany all this, the chef of the Les Ombres restaurant, Alexandre Sempere, has signed off on a very nice menu of tapas and snacks (savory, frozen, or sweet) to enjoy “at your fingertips.” The magic of the place really reveals itself at nightfall, when the Iron Lady lights up and sparkles, offering a magnificent spectacle!

Parisian terrace with a view of the Carrousel ferris wheel and the Sacré-Cœur.

This rooftop suspended above the Seine offers a stunning view of Paris, the Louvre, and also the Vasque with a small selection of snacks and drinks. If you’re looking for it, it is located at the exit of the Impressionism gallery and is, of course, open mainly during the summer season.

The Shed, the rooftop of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards

Terrace of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards rooftop with guests and red awning.

This terrace, a timeless escape, is set on the top floor of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards. It’s a great rooftop spot, well-hidden and completely peaceful. On the menu, cocktails are divided into 3 categories: No Shed (non-alcoholic / €10), One Shed (low alcohol / between €14 and €15), and Two Shed (standard alcohol volume / €16).

Must try:

  • Among the non-alcoholic drinks, the Pineapple and Coco Smash frozen is amazing!!! Super fresh and very tasty, I loved it!
  • Among the Two Shed cocktails, the “from our vegetable garden” cocktail has a magnificent 100% natural color (that’s what the bartender assured us) and it is also very, very good. Rather soft and sweet, but perfectly balanced.

Be aware, however, that the rooftop is quite small and it is impossible to reserve, so don’t come too late (I’d say 7:30 PM maximum) if you want to get a small spot and also enjoy the last rays of sunshine (afterwards, it disappears behind the buildings). For your information, in these photos, I am wearing the skirt from the ethical brand Refab Market, which I have already mentioned to you on Instagram.

The Galeries Lafayette Rooftop

Parisian rooftop terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower, waiters, and customers.

During the summer season, the Galeries Lafayette rooftop on the 7th floor of the main store is a spot highly appreciated for its magnificent view of the rooftops of Paris and the Opera. On this terrace, several ephemeral restaurants appear during the summer, changing from year to year. This includes, notably, Créatures, which offers plant-based cuisine imagined by chef Julien Sebbag. Their restaurants offer a terrace area for lunch in the sun (and with a few wasps), in a very pleasant setting.

Must try (photos and prices at the time of testing with the Paillotte restaurant in 2018): the large salads (€24) with burrata and organic tomatoes or hot Chavignol goat cheese salad; as a main course, you also have the pasta of the moment (€27); for dessert, the fruit pavlova (€12); wines by the glass at €9.

The Montparnasse Tower Rooftop

Every summer, you can go have a drink 210 meters above Paris, at the very top of the Montparnasse Tower, generally until the end of September. Which makes this place the highest rooftop in the capital, after all!
