My top of the best rooftops in Paris

In this article, I invite you to discover my selection of the best rooftops that I’ve been able to discover and test in Paris. Of course, this selection is not exhaustive, and I will be adding new Parisian addresses on this theme as I test them. You can also find my selection of the best Parisian summer terraces as well as my favorite cocktail bars in Paris in other articles! Naturally, as is my habit, I regularly update this article with my latest discoveries.

Eylau, the Canopy by Hilton rooftop

Located on the top floor of this 4-star hotel in the 16th arrondissement, this spot offers a bright rooftop with a stunning view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower as well. It is open throughout the summer season and even during winter, when it features a transparent bubble so you can enjoy this great spot in warmth. On the summer agenda: cocktails and a sizzling menu centered around the brasero, created by chef Remy Ribeaucourt. This summer, the rooftop is also partnering with Cote des Roses by Gérard Bertrand, a Languedoc rosé with notes of citrus and summer fruits.

The Mama Shelter Paris West rooftop

This rooftop sits atop the 3-star hotel: Mama Shelter Paris West. I’ve already told you about this super cool hotel brand that I’ve had the chance to test in several cities across France and also abroad (Rennes, Luxembourg, Bordeaux, Marseille…). It features a breathtaking view of Greater Paris from the 8th floor of the hotel, along with a bar and a pizza area. The bar notably features cocktails in collaboration with the French brand Lillet, which makes wine-based aperitifs (white, red, or rosé Lillet), as well as a range of mocktails.

The Zoku Paris rooftop

Zoku is a hybrid hotel located in the 17th arrondissement, offering a place to live, work, and socialize in Paris. It features coworking spaces, a restaurant called Living Kitchen, meeting rooms, and a great rooftop. We tested it on an evening at the end of August, and I must say we really loved the place. The rooftop is super pretty, filled with greenery, and also offers live music on certain Thursday evenings. On-site, the address serves cocktails, drinks, and a few tapas to share.

To try: the house gin & tonics (you choose your gin from a lovely selection of brands – priced between €12 and €15); there is also a selection of signature cocktails (between €11.50 and €13), we tested the Dark Daiquiri (€12.50); to share, we got the eggplant caviar (€9), the guacamole (€11), and the breaded camembert (€13).

Les Ombres cocktail bar on the Quai Branly rooftop

I think this bar and rooftop offer one of the most beautiful views in Paris! Bramble is the summer cocktail bar of the restaurant Les Ombres by Alain Ducasse, located completely outdoors on the rooftop of the Quai Branly museum, facing the Eiffel Tower. I actually already told you about the food addresses at the Quai Branly museum in a dedicated article.

On the 2024 menu, you could find exclusive cocktails created in collaboration with Margot Combat, with whom I’d already had the chance to take a cocktail class and whom I mentioned in my article on my selection of cocktail bars in Paris. In 2025, the cocktail menu remains just as fantastic, inspired by the sunny flavors of the Mediterranean. To accompany all this, the chef of the Les Ombres restaurant at the time, Alexandre Sempere (who has now been managing the kitchens of the Cléo restaurant in the 7th arrondissement since March 2026), designed a very nice menu of tapas and snacks (savory, frozen, or sweet) meant to be enjoyed “finger-food style”. The magic of the place truly reveals itself at nightfall, when the Iron Lady lights up and sparkles, offering a magnificent spectacle!

The Musée d’Orsay rooftop

Suspended above the Seine, this rooftop offers a breathtaking view of Paris, the Louvre, and also the Olympic Flame basin, complete with a small snacking and drink selection. If you’re looking for it, it is located right at the exit of the Impressionism gallery and is naturally open mainly during the summer season.

The Shed, the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards rooftop

This timeless parenthesis of a terrace is set up on the top floor of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards. It’s a great rooftop spot, well hidden and completely quiet. On the menu, the cocktails are divided into 3 categories: No Shed (non-alcoholic / €10), One Shed (moderate alcohol / between €14 and €15), and Two Shed (standard alcohol volume / €16).

To try:

Among the non-alcoholic drinks, the Pineapple and Coco Smash frozen is absolute perfection! Super fresh and very flavorful, I loved it!
Among the Two Shed cocktails, the “our vegetable garden” cocktail has a magnificent 100% natural color (the bartender assured us) and it is also very, very good. Rather sweet and mellow, but perfectly balanced.

Be careful though, the rooftop is quite small and reservations are not possible, so don’t come too late (I’d say 7:30 PM at the latest) if you want to grab a little spot and enjoy the last rays of sunshine (after which it disappears behind the buildings). For info, in these photos I’m wearing a skirt from the ethical brand Refab Market that I already told you about on Instagram.

The SkyBar at the Hôtel Pullman Montparnasse

Located on the 32nd floor of the Hôtel Pullman Paris Montparnasse, Skybar offers one of the most dizzying views in Paris. After an express elevator ride up, you find yourself at the very top of the building with a breathtaking view of the surroundings. The venue offers signature cocktails, categorized by texture and accompanied by creative bites with Asian influences.

Located in the heart of the 13th arrondissement, the TOO Hôtel, its panoramic restaurant & its electric skybar invite Parisians and travelers from around the world to admire the magnificent view of Paris from over 120 meters high! Designed by Philippe Starck, this hotel offers an unobstructed view of the capital.

The Galeries Lafayette Rooftop

During the summer season, the Galeries Lafayette rooftop on the 7^th floor of the main store is a highly appreciated spot for its magnificent view of the rooftops of Paris and the Opéra. This terrace hosts several pop-up restaurants during the summer, changing from year to year—including Créatures, which offers plant-based cuisine imagined by chef Julien Sebbag. Their restaurants offer a terrace area for lunch in the sun (along with a few wasps), in a very pleasant setting.

To try (photos and prices at the time of testing with the Paillotte restaurant in 2018): the large salads (€24) with burrata and organic tomatoes or warm Chavignol goat cheese salad; as a main dish, you also have the pasta of the moment (€27); for dessert, the fruit pavlova (€12); glasses of wine at €9.

The Tour Montparnasse Rooftop

Every summer, you can head up for a drink 210 m above Paris, right at the top of the Tour Montparnasse, generally until the end of September. Which makes this spot the highest rooftop in the capital after all!
