If you have been following my blog for a little while, you must know that I am a huge wine lover and that it is a subject I am passionate about (I even have a section on the blog dedicated to it)! I love setting off to discover appellations, going wine tourism, and unearthing a few great addresses related to wine. Today, I am sharing a short article on the blog that gathers a selection of several good wine bars that I have had the opportunity to try out in Paris. Most of them are also what are called “eatery cellars” that offer plates to share in addition to their beautiful bottles.
As is my habit for this type of article, I will regularly update it with my new discoveries to keep sharing my best Parisian wine bar addresses with you!

Le Tire bouchon Rodier: the cellar and the restaurant
I am taking you to the 9th arrondissement on Rue Rodier, for an oenological and bistronomic marathon in 2 establishments opened by chef Marc Favier (formerly 1 Michelin star at Marcore). We start with an aperitif at La Cave du Tire-Bouchon, managed by Alexandre Morlier, former sommelier for David Toutain. He sets the tone with friendliness and passion in this place where you come to discover beautiful bottles, all accompanied by some well-made small plates featuring quality products. As for the restaurant at Le Tire-Bouchon Rodier, they maintain the spirit of a convivial wine bar mixed with bistronomic plates to share. The address was actually awarded a Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide in 2026.

Arbela
This address, located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, is the eatery cellar of chef Juan Arbelaez. We tested their Rendez-vous Vignerons evenings that take place every first Wednesday of the month. The concept is simple: a wine theme presented by a personality from the wine world and an assortment of the chef’s tapas to share, all included in a single set menu at €50 per person. We tasted 5 vintages from Southern winemakers, selected that evening by the sommelier Seb Pradal, all in a convivial and communicative epicurean atmosphere. We made some beautiful oenological discoveries and thoroughly enjoyed the chef’s tapas and dishes. The next date will be December 3, 2025, with a 100% bubbles theme to prepare for the holidays.

Les Amoureuses Bis
Les Amoureuses Bis is an eatery cellar and wine bar located near the Place de la Bastille. This address is the younger sibling of the restaurant Les Amoureuses, opened about 3 years ago by Alena Iampolskaia and Benjamin Leroy. Here, we find a very beautiful, curated selection of wines and a friendly atmosphere around one large, unique sharing table. Regarding the wines, I recommend letting yourself be guided by Alena‘s favorites, which will take you off the beaten path.
This haven for food lovers offers plates to share—simple, but well-made and featuring good products. For example, revisited spicy tuna makis, egg mayonnaise, homemade hand-cut beef tartare, or even the melty, nostalgic croque with Comté and ham. And to end on a sweet note, we indulged in an airy chocolate mousse, accompanied by a small glass of Ratafia.

Les Amoureuses Bis

Martha
This address is located on the charming Rue Sainte-Marthe in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. Martha is conceived as a counter for sharing good wines, notably including a lovely selection of natural wines by Vin des Potes. This eatery cellar also offers small plates to share, prepared with really great products, all in a very warm and convivial setting.
On the menu for these tapas-style plates: top-quality Scottish salmon blinis served with sea urchin tarama (€12), a smoked labneh with mustard pickles (€7), fried chicken with miso aioli and satay sauce (€12), or even this croque on rustic bread with bone-in ham, béchamel, Emmental, and Comté (€12)—a poem in itself. For dessert, we found comfort with this Willy meringue, whipped cream, and red berry coulis (€10), and also with this slice of frangipane galette from Maison Aleph (€9).

Martha

Yard
This brand has several physical locations with 2 YARD addresses in Paris (a restaurant, bar, and wine shop in the 11th arrondissement and another address in the 8th) and 3 addresses in Lyon. For our part, the favorite photographer and I went to spend a lovely evening at the Mont-Louis address in the 11th arrondissement, to discover the restaurant and the bar. The place offers gourmet products from excellent artisans and winemakers via short supply chains on their merchant site Culinaries.
At Yard Mont-Louis, it is the temple of natural wine, and 100% of what is offered in terms of wine comes from this type of viticulture. Regarding the food, we tested a few tapas plates to share, and I must say we were delighted. It is well-made, the products are excellent, and there is a touch of originality that approaches bistronomy.
We tasted: fried enokis (Asian mushrooms) with hazelnut tahini (€9); squid ink tarama (€10); leek tarte tatin with parmesan vinaigrette (€11); beef croquettes with béarnaise mayonnaise (€14); BBQ sardines with chimichurri sauce and bergamot (€15); for dessert, the meringue with lemongrass curd, candied ginger, and lime (€10).

















Yard Mont-Louis

Fagot
Fagot is a restaurant and eatery bar hidden in a charming passageway in the heart of the 17th arrondissement in Paris. The address, which is also a wine bar, offers a wall of bottles mainly featuring French wines, but the idea is to surprise customers by offering lesser-known references or ones that deviate from what one is accustomed to with big-name appellations. I highly recommend letting yourself be tempted by the wise advice of the wine enthusiasts who work here. The setting is chic and pleasant, perfect for an intimate meal, for example.
As for the food, we tasted the hispy cabbage with tingling oil (€13), the salmon tataki with carrot mousseline (€20), the truffle croque-monsieur (€16), which is clearly the establishment’s signature dish that you must not miss, the melt-in-your-mouth pulled pork slow-cooked for 5 hours (€18), and for dessert, a chocolate ganache with a pear condiment (€9.50). The address offers refined, original, and gourmet cuisine that is very well executed.
















Fagot

Montijo, the Spanish eatery cellar in Batignolles
Montijo is a Spanish eatery cellar located in the Batignolles neighborhood in Paris. The place, with its very warm decor, immerses us in the atmosphere of a typical hacienda, and in the center of the establishment, there is a magnificent stained-glass window made to measure for the restaurant.
The address offers exclusively a lovely selection of natural wines from the Mediterranean rim, and the house head sommelier, Jose Gonzalez, will be able to speak with passion about his extremely sharp selection. To accompany all of this, there is a culinary offering based on homemade tapas inspired by Spanish and Basque cuisine. On the menu: tortilla (€12), blue prawns from New Caledonia (€12), lentil salad, piquillos, onions, Iberico chorizo (€11), chickpea salad (€9), and Iberian cheese and charcuterie boards (boards between €21 and €35). A very beautiful address that I warmly recommend for spending a pleasant evening discovering original Mediterranean wines.

La Cave des Climats
100 meters from the starred restaurant Les Climats, Carole Colin and Denis Jamet (both sommeliers) opened a convivial place in 2016 where you can taste but also take home the wines chosen by Les Climats.
La Cave des Climats (in homage to Burgundian climats, obviously) offers a selection of a few hundred references, and while Burgundy wines dominate (at 60%, which I am certainly not displeased about), they do not have exclusivity. Among this high-flying assortment, there are author Champagnes (Egly-Ouriet, Agrapart, Drappier…), Jura wines (Stéphane Tissot), Jurançon (Camin Larredya), Loire wines (Blot, Mellot…), Provence wines (La Bégude), Roussillon wines (Gauby), and Bordeaux (Roc de Cambes and Tertre Roteboeuf from Mitjavile…).
The place is also an eatery cellar in addition to being a shop. At the bar, at a long host’s table, or at small square tables, one can snack on charcuterie from Conquet (Laguiole), cheeses chosen at Terroirs d’Avenir, smoked salmon, or taramas from Barthouil (address I have already mentioned on the blog), in tune with the bottles on the shelves, which are accessible thanks to a “corkage fee” of only €8.

La Cave also organized (check if this is still the case) monthly meetings with winemakers who come to let people taste their wines and tell their stories. While the B3 evenings (for Burgundy, Burgundy, Burgundy) are dedicated to Burgundians, the C3 (for Favorite of the Cave) host producers from the rest of France. These meetings are by reservation via the Les Climats newsletter (register for the newsletter via the Les Climats or La Cave websites, or on site as well!).

Les Caves du Louvre
These cellars are located in the heart of Paris, in a magical and historic setting under an 18th-century private mansion, classified as a historical monument and having once belonged to the candle maker and sommelier of King Louis XV. The site offers 600m² of entirely renovated vaulted cellars to help people discover the world of wine through an interactive journey dedicated to French wines and terroirs. You can participate in a blending workshop to create your own wine. For two hours, you are guided step-by-step through the creation of your own vintage with a Head Sommelier, to become a winemaker for the duration of a workshop and learn everything about wine.
Using a worksheet, you perform tests and trials to try to find your perfect blend. In any case, it is a very enriching experience that I had never had the opportunity to try before this workshop. Once the blend is defined, you even have the possibility to create a unique bottle by crafting your own label yourself.










The site also organizes occasional oeno-artistic afterworks “From Wine to Artwork” of a new kind, focusing on Art and Wine with Vinochromie. These evenings are halfway between a vernissage, an afterwork, a cocktail dinner, and a wine tasting. Each time, about ten works will be exhibited in the cellar, each inspired by a wine offered for tasting. New afterworks focusing not on food and wine pairing, but art and wine pairing…
The tip: you can also come freely to this space to discover the cellars, the temporary exhibition, and get access to the tasting bar for free.

La Bougeotte, the floating wine bar
Moored in the Bassin de la Villette, the peniche La Bougeotte is docked when it is in Paris, but its concept is to roam between Dijon and Paris the rest of the time. Indeed, this floating wine bar (managed by a former sailor) sets up shop in Paris every year starting in the autumn.
You can enjoy good wines, sourced directly from producers during the boat’s annual travels in an eco-responsible approach (even if you can also find other wines from France on the menu), and tasty French-style tapas! La Bougeotte mainly offers organic, biodynamic, or natural wines. In addition to wines, the address also offers cocktails (between €4.50 and €8) but only wine-based ones, such as the Communard or the Soupe angevine.
Regarding food: La Bougeotte works with a Norman oyster farmer and thus offers oysters (€10 for 6 n°3 oysters) and other seafood every day; I also recommend trying the chorizo gratin ravioli which are very nostalgic (€7.50); croques to share (€10, vegetarian version or not).
The bonus: La Bougeotte is also a wine merchant and offers its wines and other products to go.

Chai 33 and its legendary wine cellar
This address, located in the heart of Bercy Village, which was the nerve center of wine trade in France in the 19th century, possesses a legendary wine cellar in Paris, with nearly 300 wine references! The concept of the place? Every guest is invited, upon arriving at the restaurant, to go down into the 19th-century vaulted wine cellar to discover, in the company of a sommelier, the bottle that will accompany their meal. Each bottle is offered at merchant price, plus a €10 corkage fee added for any bottle. Good news for the wallet! Regarding the cuisine, I was less convinced by the address, but it remains a very lovely spot for wine lovers.

Pépite, the eatery cellar
This small address in the 11th arrondissement carries its name very well, and we spent a very beautiful evening there discovering Armenian wines, for example, while feasting on delicious plates to share. It is the type of address I can recommend with my eyes closed!
At Pépite, you find high-quality bistronomic plates to share. The combinations of flavors are perfectly balanced; everything is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and trendy with nice interior decor and a small terrace with benches in front of the establishment. Regarding service, it is extremely pleasant and friendly, and the managers provide very good advice regarding wines (and they have a very interesting selection) and pairings with the dishes offered. I also found it very affordable in comparison to the quality on the plate! Expect to pay between €5 and €14 for plates to share and between €18 and €23 for dishes/main courses.
To taste: pig cheek croquettes, herb yogurt (€5); sea urchin tarama, Espelette pepper, and lemon (€7.50); asparagus, egg yolk cream, mustard seeds, garlic chips (€11); globe artichokes, fresh goat cheese, lemon confit condiment, grilled almonds (€11); lamb kebab, homemade pita bread, garlic cream and condiments (€10); lemon tartlet, Italian meringue, lemon gel, pistachio praline with fleur de sel (€11).

Otto, bistronomy and wines on Rue Mouffetard
This super address on Rue Mouffetard mixes small plates to share and a beautiful wine list (mainly natural, organic, or biodynamic). It opened its doors in October 2023. We had fallen in love with it at the time of its opening, and a new test in 2023 confirmed our sentiment. The menu is signed by the MOF and starred chef Eric Trochon. On the program: tapas-style small plates featuring good products magnified, and a sharp selection of organic and biodynamic wines to accompany it all. We add to that a super convivial atmosphere and good vibes, and we get a place that makes you want to sit down and enjoy the present moment…

Vinosfera
This lovely little wine bar address is located in the Marais, on Rue François Miron. On the menu, you will find mostly French and biodynamic wines, but also a fine grocery section from the Middle East with good products and Iranian crafts. And also a small dining offer perfect for a very nice Iranian-flavored wine + tapas aperitif. I also fell in love with the establishment’s vaulted cellar which has a lot of charm!
To taste: kashk bademjan, grilled eggplants, dried mint, fried onion, curdled milk (€8); mast-o-khiar, cucumber yogurt, rose petal and dried mint (€6); eggplant caviar (€8); assortment of Lebanese and Iranian pastries (€5.50).

Practical questions
If you are looking for more than just a snack board, I recommend Arbela (chef Juan Arbelaez’s cellar) for his cooked tapas, or even Otto on Rue Mouffetard for a complete gastronomic and oenological experience. These are true eatery cellars.
To change from classic counters, try La Bougeotte, a floating wine bar on a barge! Another spectacular option is Les Caves du Louvre, to enjoy wine in a cellar beneath an 18th-century mansion, classified as a historical monument.
Head to the 10th arrondissement to Martha. It’s the ideal address for discovering a curated selection of natural wines (notably via Vin des Potes) in a very warm atmosphere.
Yes, to travel a little, I advise Montijo in Batignolles. It is a Spanish eatery cellar that honors Iberian wines and the Spanish art of living.
