Published: Updated:

In this article, I invite you to discover my selection of the best rooftops that I have been able to explore and test in Paris. Of course, this selection is not exhaustive, and I will add new Parisian addresses on this theme as I test them. You can also find my selection of the best Parisian terraces in this other article! Naturally, as is my habit, I regularly update this article with my new discoveries.

This great address in the 16th arrondissement offers a bright rooftop on the top floor of this 4-star hotel, with a stunning view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower as well. And it is open throughout the summer season. On the program: cocktails and a sizzling menu around the brazier, created by chef Remy Ribeaucourt.

Zoku Paris rooftop with guests under a wooden pergola and hanging lights.

Zoku is a hybrid hotel located in the 17th arrondissement, offering a place to live, work, and socialize in Paris. It features coworking spaces, a restaurant called Living Kitchen, meeting rooms, and a great rooftop. We tested it one evening at the end of August, and I must say we really loved the place. The rooftop is super pretty, filled with plants, and also offers live music on certain Thursday evenings. On-site, the address offers cocktails, drinks, and some tapas to share.

To taste: the house gin & tonics (you choose your gin from a nice selection of brands – price between €12 and €15); there is also a selection of signature cocktails (between €11.50 and €13), we tested the Dark Daiquiri (€12.50); to share, we had the eggplant caviar (€9), the guacamole (€11), and the breaded camembert (€13).

Paris rooftop bar with view of the illuminated Eiffel Tower and guests dining.

I find that this bar and rooftop offer one of the most beautiful views of Paris! Bramble is the summer cocktail bar of the Les Ombres restaurant by Alain Ducasse, set entirely outdoors on the rooftop of the Musée du Quai Branly, facing the Eiffel Tower. I had already told you about the food addresses at the Musée du Quai Branly in a dedicated article.

On the menu in 2024, there were exclusive cocktails created in collaboration with Margot Combat, with whom I had already had the chance to take a cocktail class, which I mentioned in my article on my selection of cocktail bars in Paris. In 2025, the cocktail menu is still just as great and is inspired by the sunny flavors of the Mediterranean. To accompany all this, the chef of the Les Ombres restaurant at that time, Alexandre Sempere (who has been orchestrating the kitchens of the Cléo restaurant in the 7th arrondissement since March 2026), signed a very nice menu of tapas and snacks (savory, frozen, or sweet) to be enjoyed “with your fingertips.” The magic of the place really reveals itself at nightfall, when the Iron Lady lights up and sparkles, offering a magnificent spectacle!

Parisian terrace with a view of the Carrousel wheel and the Sacré-Cœur.

This rooftop suspended above the Seine offers a breathtaking view of Paris, the Louvre, and also the Olympic cauldron, with a small selection of snacks and drinks. If you are looking for it, it is located at the exit of the Impressionism gallery, and it is obviously open mainly during the summer season.

The Shed, the rooftop of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards

Terrace of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards rooftop with clients and red awning.

This timeless little terrace is set on the top floor of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards. It’s a great rooftop spot, well-hidden and completely peaceful. On the menu, the cocktails are divided into 3 categories: No Shed (non-alcoholic / 10 €), One Shed (moderate alcohol / between 14 € and 15 €), and Two Shed (standard volume of alcohol / 16 €).

Must try:

  • Among the non-alcoholic options, the frozen Pineapple and Coco Smash is absolutely killer!!! Super fresh and very flavorful, I loved it!
  • Among the Two Shed cocktails, the “from our vegetable garden” cocktail has a magnificent 100% natural color (the bartender assured us of this) and it is also very, very good. Rather mild and sweet, but perfectly balanced.

Be careful though, the rooftop is quite small and it is impossible to book, so don’t come too late (I’d say 7:30 PM maximum) if you want to get a spot and also enjoy the last rays of sunshine (after that, it disappears behind the buildings). For your information, in these photos, I am wearing a skirt from the ethical brand Refab Market, which I have already told you about on Instagram.

The Galeries Lafayette Rooftop

Parisian rooftop terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower, servers and customers.

During the summer season, the Galeries Lafayette rooftop on the 7th floor of the main store is a very pleasant spot for its magnificent view of the rooftops of Paris and the Opera. On this terrace, several ephemeral restaurants appear during the summer, which follow one another depending on the year. Including, notably, Créatures, which offers plant-based cuisine imagined by chef Julien Sebbag. Their restaurants offer a terrace area for lunch in the sun (and with a few wasps), in a very pleasant setting.

To taste (photos and prices at the time of testing with the Paillotte restaurant in 2018): large salads (24 €) with burrata and organic tomatoes or warm Chavignol salad; for a main course, you also have the pasta of the moment (27 €); for dessert, the fruit pavlova (12 €); wine by the glass at 9 €.

Every summer, you can go for a drink 210 m above Paris, at the very top of the Tour Montparnasse, generally until the end of September. Which makes this place the highest rooftop in the capital, after all!
