In this article, I share the rooftop bars and terraces in Paris that I’ve visited, from hotel bars overlooking the Eiffel Tower to the free terrace at Galeries Lafayette. I keep adding new addresses as I try them, with photos and prices from each visit. A few pointers before choosing your rooftop:
- For an Eiffel Tower view: Eylau and Skybar at the Pullman Montparnasse. Les Ombres also has a wonderful view, but its outdoor cocktail bar is seasonal.
- For a free viewpoint: the Galeries Lafayette terrace. You can go up without a restaurant booking; food and drinks cost extra.
- For cocktails: The Shed, or Skybar at the Pullman (entry starts at €25 with a selected drink included; ages 18 and over).
- For an indoor option: Zoku and Mama Shelter Paris West both have indoor spaces alongside their terraces.
Tour Montparnasse is closed for renovation. I’ve kept the photos from my visit below. It is a separate building from the Pullman hotel, whose Skybar is still operating.

Eylau, the Canopy by Hilton rooftop
Located on the top floor of this 4-star hotel in the 16th arrondissement, this spot offers a bright rooftop with a stunning view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower as well. The rooftop has also featured a transparent winter bubble, but its return for winter 2026/2027 has not been confirmed. On the summer 2026 agenda: cocktails and a sizzling menu centered around the brasero, created by chef Remy Ribeaucourt. In summer 2026, the rooftop is also partnering with Cote des Roses by Gérard Bertrand, a Languedoc rosé with notes of citrus and summer fruits.

Canopy by Hilton Eylau Rooftop
16 avenue d’Eylau, 75116 Paris
Prices checked on 8 October 2026: cocktails €19; two-course menu €38. In bad weather, service moves to L’Esprit Nouveau restaurant. Eylau menus and table bookings.
The good deal: during my 2026 visit, happy hour ran daily from 4 PM to 6 PM.

The Mama Shelter Paris West rooftop
This rooftop sits atop the 3-star hotel: Mama Shelter Paris West. I’ve already told you about this super cool hotel brand that I’ve had the chance to test in several cities across France and also abroad (Rennes, Luxembourg, Bordeaux, Marseille…). It features a breathtaking view of Greater Paris from the 8th floor of the hotel, along with a bar and a pizza area. The bar notably features cocktails in collaboration with the French brand Lillet, which makes wine-based aperitifs (white, red, or rosé Lillet), as well as a range of mocktails.

Mama Shelter Paris West

The Zoku Paris rooftop
Zoku is a hybrid hotel located in the 17th arrondissement, offering a place to live, work, and socialize in Paris. It features coworking spaces, a restaurant called Living Kitchen, meeting rooms, and a great rooftop. We tested it on an evening at the end of August 2024, and I must say we really loved the place. The rooftop is super pretty, filled with greenery, and also offers live music on certain Thursday evenings. On-site, the address serves cocktails, drinks, and a few tapas to share.
To try: the house gin & tonics (you choose your gin from a lovely selection of brands – priced between €12 and €15); there is also a selection of signature cocktails (between €11.50 and €13), we tested the Dark Daiquiri (€12.50); to share, we got the eggplant caviar (€9), the guacamole (€11), and the breaded camembert (€13).

Zoku Paris
48 Avenue de la Porte de Clichy, 75017 Paris
Prices from my August 2024 visit: tapas to share between €9 and €13. The rooftop bar is open to non-residents, with indoor seating and an outdoor terrace.

Les Ombres cocktail bar on the Quai Branly rooftop
I think this bar and rooftop offer one of the most beautiful views in Paris! Bramble is the summer cocktail bar of the restaurant Les Ombres by Alain Ducasse, located completely outdoors on the rooftop of the Quai Branly museum, facing the Eiffel Tower. I actually already told you about the food addresses at the Quai Branly museum in a dedicated article.
On the 2024 menu, you could find exclusive cocktails created in collaboration with Margot Combat, with whom I’d already had the chance to take a cocktail class and whom I mentioned in my article on my selection of cocktail bars in Paris. In 2025, the cocktail menu was just as fantastic, inspired by the sunny flavors of the Mediterranean. To accompany all this, the chef of the Les Ombres restaurant at the time, Alexandre Sempere (who has now been managing the kitchens of the Cléo restaurant in the 7th arrondissement since March 2026), designed a very nice menu of tapas and snacks (savory, frozen, or sweet) meant to be enjoyed “finger-food style”. The magic of the place truly reveals itself at nightfall, when the Iron Lady lights up and sparkles, offering a magnificent spectacle!

Cocktail bar of Les Ombres restaurant – Musée du Quai Branly

During my 2024 and 2025 visits, the summer bar opened daily from 6 PM. The end date of the 2026 season has not been confirmed.
Prices from my 2024 and 2025 visits: mocktails and cocktails €15 to €22; tapas plates €4 to €15.

The Musée d’Orsay rooftop
Suspended above the Seine, this rooftop offers a breathtaking view of Paris, the Louvre, and, during my 2025 visit, the Olympic cauldron, complete with a small snacking and drink selection. If you’re looking for it, it is located right at the exit of the Impressionism gallery and is naturally open mainly during the summer season.

Musée d’Orsay
Esplanade Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, 75007 Paris
Prices from my 2025 visit: cocktails €13 / mocktails €10 / beer €6.30 / Superproducteur spreads €12. The terrace is seasonal; its October 2026 opening has not been confirmed.

The Shed, the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards rooftop
This timeless parenthesis of a terrace is set up on the top floor of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards. It’s a great rooftop spot, well hidden and completely quiet. When I visited in 2019, the cocktails were divided into 3 categories: No Shed (non-alcoholic / €10), One Shed (moderate alcohol / between €14 and €15), and Two Shed (standard alcohol volume / €16).
To try:
- Among the non-alcoholic drinks, the Pineapple and Coco Smash frozen is absolute perfection! Super fresh and very flavorful, I loved it!
- Among the Two Shed cocktails, the “our vegetable garden” cocktail has a magnificent 100% natural color (the bartender assured us) and it is also very, very good. Rather sweet and mellow, but perfectly balanced.
The rooftop is quite small. When I visited in 2019, reservations weren’t possible. My advice at the time was to arrive by 7:30 PM to grab a little spot and enjoy the last rays of sunshine (after which it disappears behind the buildings). For info, in these photos I’m wearing a skirt from the ethical brand Refab Market that I already told you about on Instagram.

The SkyBar at the Hôtel Pullman Montparnasse
Located on the 32nd floor of the Hôtel Pullman Paris Montparnasse, Skybar offers one of the most dizzying views in Paris. After an express elevator ride up, you find yourself at the very top of the building with a breathtaking view of the surroundings. The venue offers signature cocktails, categorized by texture and accompanied by creative bites with Asian influences.

The TOO Hôtel rooftop: TOO TacTac Skybar & Rooftop
Located in the heart of the 13th arrondissement, the TOO Hôtel, its panoramic restaurant & its electric skybar invite Parisians and travelers from around the world to admire the magnificent view of Paris from over 120 meters high! Designed by Philippe Starck, this hotel offers an unobstructed view of the capital.

The Galeries Lafayette Rooftop
The Galeries Lafayette rooftop is on the eighth floor of the main store, with a magnificent view of the rooftops of Paris and the Opéra. Since May 2026, Balcon, by chef Julien Sebbag, has replaced Créatures. I haven’t tried Balcon yet. My photos and meal below are from La Paillotte in 2018: lunch in the sun (along with a few wasps), in a very pleasant setting.
To try (photos and prices at the time of testing with the Paillotte restaurant in 2018): the large salads (€24) with burrata and organic tomatoes or warm Chavignol goat cheese salad; as a main dish, you also have the pasta of the moment (€27); for dessert, the fruit pavlova (€12); glasses of wine at €9.

Rooftop Galeries Lafayette
40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
Free terrace access, without a ticket or restaurant reservation. The terrace may close in bad weather. Terrace access and opening hours.

The Tour Montparnasse rooftop (closed)
The Tour Montparnasse Observatory has been closed for renovation since 31 March 2026. Before the closure, its rooftop bar offered summer drinks 210 metres above Paris. I’ve kept the photos from my visit below. This is a different building from the Pullman Montparnasse hotel and its Skybar.
