Chocolatey treats for Easter

Articles anciensby Melle Bon Plan
Published: Updated:

Here returns one of my favorite religious holidays of the year. Because yes, I love the tradition of egg hunts that normally take place during this Easter period. Easter Sunday therefore falls quite early this year in 2026, on April 5th, and that allows for a 3-day weekend with the public holiday that follows on Monday. So, let it rain chocolate again and again!

During this Easter period, egg hunts are actually organized differently depending on the country: in France and Belgium, the bells bring the Easter eggs whereas in Germany and Austria, it is the rabbits that bring the eggs. As for the little English kids, they go from house to house to search for the eggs themselves. This year in this special Easter Bon Plans article, it will be a question of my beautiful selection of Easter chocolates, but also of events related to Easter such as the traditional egg hunts.

Bercy Village organizes an egg hunt

For Easter, Bercy Village transforms into a chocolate paradise and invites gourmets, both young and old, to its traditional egg hunt. On Sunday, April 5, young investigators accompanied by their parents are invited to come and uncover the rabbits hidden in the display windows of the shops at the Cour Saint-Emilion. To find the 15 figurines and try to win an ultra-gourmet chocolate surprise, parents and children will need to pick up a game booklet at the reception desk located in front of Fnac. Thanks to their booklet, the apprentice detectives can note the location of the discovered items. Once the hunt is finished, participants who have managed to find all the eggs and rabbits must go to the reception desk to exchange their game booklet for a gourmet reward: a chocolate rabbit, offered by Bercy Village.

To celebrate Easter, the winemakers of Plaimont have imagined a gourmet pairing: a bottle of Cépages d’Auteurs, in AOC Saint Mont, accompanied by a chocolate egg signed Le Comptoir de Carolyn. The Cépages d’Auteurs vintage marks a new page for Saint Mont, as it was born from the alliance of Tannat and Tardif, an ancient grape variety patiently resurrected by the Plaimont winemakers. The palate is supple, gourmet, carried by notes of red fruits and a touch of spice that pairs perfectly with the chocolate egg from Le Comptoir de Carolyn, with caramelized cocoa nibs and its fleur de sel with Armagnac.

In 2003, Bernard Cassière imagined the anti-stress and anti-pollution chocolate treatment. An iconic treatment that has just celebrated its twentieth anniversary. The unique feature of this treatment is that it is edible because the chocolate used is made by an Italian master chocolatier based near Brive. Cocoa, rich in polyphenols with recognized anti-radical properties, is the best ally to fight against the effects of daily stress, and devitalized skin, victims of urban stress. The “chocolate fondue” mask contains 64% pure cocoa mass (crushed fruit), with moisturizing, toning, and regenerating properties.

The product range: the chocolate mousse mask (€31.70 for 75 ml); the chocolate “phyto-protective” cream specially formulated to protect normal and reactive skin alike (€34.50 for 50 ml).
