Le Petit Duc, Provence in the heart of Paris (gourmet giveaway inside)

The brand Le Petit Duc is opening a new boutique in Paris, in a unique, timeless setting in the heart of the 7th arrondissement.

On the menu are high-quality sweets and delicacies sourced from forgotten sweet and savory recipes. This house of sweets, a famous artisan manufacturer and discoverer of Provençal gourmet treasures, comes to us straight from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

Taken over last year by the Palanque family, who also own the Maison Charaix in Joyeuse, Ardèche, Le Petit Duc is reigniting the passion for sweet and savory pleasures among food lovers.

The brand’s values: reconnecting with traditional, sometimes forgotten craftsmanship which, combined with high-quality natural products, allows them to offer delicacies that are extraordinary in their flavor, texture, and sugar balance, which is never overpowering.

The famous Petit Duc triangles, which are their best-sellers, are a perfect example as they use the famous honey from Joyeuse from the Maison Charaix in their composition!

Other flagship products include Calissons from Saint-Rémy or rose de Damas, alongside almond, pistachio, or pine nut nougats, as well as biscuits from ancient recipes, fruit jellies, pralines… all preciously encased in vintage-style metal tins that are the true signature of the house.

The vibe of this boutique remains strongly inspired by 20th-century Provence, created especially by Saint-Rémy-de-Provence decorator Sophie Bosc.

You really get the feeling of stepping into a family home just a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower, where accessories and old molds serve as displays and tell the story of an entire French culinary and family tradition.
