Between young ladies, we help each other out, which is only natural—we’re an endangered species, but if you look online, you realize that “Mademoiselles” aren’t disappearing anytime soon…
It is therefore with great joy that I introduce you today to Mademoiselle Cocotte and her origami jewelry. This jewelry brand is quite young, having been created in April 2013 by Bérengère, a young woman from Rennes with a passion for origami.
With the support of the Élan Créateur cooperative, she creates jewelry and fashion accessories (long necklaces, earrings of all sizes and colors, fabric pouches…) that I find super cute and that I absolutely fell for!
Mademoiselle Cocotte’s style is resolutely colorful and uses an iconic origami object in all its forms: the crane. The crane, having become a “cocotte” (paper bird), takes on dozens of different colors, patterns, and sizes in an extensive collection that is periodically enriched with collector’s series.
The tip: Bérengère also organizes “apéro cocottes” (cocktail parties), to liven up evenings between friends.
