Today I’m taking you to discover the 2 Vienna House hotels located in Seine-et-Marne, the largest department in Ile-de-France by area, not far from the Disneyland Paris park. The Austrian hotel brand Vienna House has two hotels right next to each other in Val d’Europe: the Dream Castle and the Magic Circus. These are actually the only two hotels in France from this chain, which usually focuses on urban hotels in major European cities. These two specific locations are therefore quite atypical in the brand’s portfolio.

The Vienna House hotels in Marne-la-Vallée
These two hotels are obviously ideally located in Marne-la-Vallée, very close to the Disneyland Paris park, which makes them very convenient if you want to take a short or long trip to the amusement park. However, unlike hotels located inside the park, I really appreciated the green surroundings of these two properties, with a beautiful view of the countryside and the lake that adjoins them.

The Vienna House Magic Circus
This is the hotel where I stayed during this trip with a group of bloggers and influencers (you will find their names at the end of the article). The theme of this hotel with 396 rooms and suites is, of course, the circus, as its name so aptly suggests. The great thing is that there are play areas for children (young and old), like the ball pit above, almost everywhere in the hotel’s common areas. In short, it’s the perfect opportunity to fall back into childhood during a getaway. The hotel also has a spa area (like its neighbor the Dream Castle) with an indoor pool and relaxation terrace, but I admit I didn’t have much time to enjoy it, since I mostly went to the one at the other hotel (see below).

My Kids Suite
Yes, I was on my own, but I was still treated to a family-style room, the Kids Suite (for 2 adults and 2 children), so let’s just say it was plenty of space for just me… In this room, in addition to the double bed, there are bunk beds for the kids and, of course, decor always themed around the circus. I also really liked the L’Occitane bathroom products, as it’s a brand I enjoy very much.
The little eco-friendly extra: in the room, there is a small fabric bag that you can hang on your door in the evening to indicate that you don’t want your room cleaned the next day (this only works if you stay for several days, of course) and in exchange, the following day you find a little surprise in your bag…

The l’Etoile restaurant
This is the hotel’s main restaurant (it’s also where the breakfast buffet is served) and it overlooks the gardens, which is quite pleasant. We also had the chance to discover the Christmas dinner menu of the restaurant in a preview. I’ll give you a taste of all this in photos.

open every day from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM

The Bar des artistes (open from 11 AM to midnight)
The perfect place to grab a drink (or a delicious cocktail from the head bartender!) after a long day of sightseeing.

Room prices: between €280 and €300 per night_
The Vienna House Dream Castle
This second hotel, which is easily accessible on foot from the Magic Circus (about a 5-minute walk), is built on the model of classic U-shaped castles with a French-style garden in its center. The decor of this hotel, inaugurated in 2004, is related to the theme of castles, fairy tales, and knights. The hotel offers 397 rooms and suites. We even had the chance to visit the famous Royal Suite of the property (200 m2 for 7 people).

The Excalibur bar
This place is a bar during the day but also in the evening and it also offers light meals if needed.
Note: you can have a drink at the Excalibur bar from 11 AM to midnight.

The Musketeer’s restaurant
The Musketeer’s restaurant offers dinner in a setting around the theme of the Three Musketeers (open every day from 7 PM to 10:30 PM / buffet at €29.50 per adult and €11.50 for children) and a funny detail, the servers are apparently in costume…

_
The Asian Villa Spa
The hotel also has a spa (the Asian Villa Spa) and wellness area (open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM) with a heated indoor pool, a sauna, a jacuzzi, a hammam, a fitness area, and also a massage area where I was able to discover a body massage in the traditional Thai style (35-min Thai massage / €65). I didn’t know this type of massage and I really liked this mix of postures, manipulation, and breathing. Definitely worth doing again!

Ideas of things to do in the surrounding area, in Seine-et-Marne
As usual, I offer you some ideas for outings, visits, and great addresses to try in the vicinity of both hotels, because vacations are also about discovering a region! Well, from my point of view, obviously.

Visit the Château de Vaux Le Vicomte
I have already told you about the Château de Vaux Le Vicomte on the blog (to learn more, check out my article on the subject), which I have visited 3 times in 2017 (a funny coincidence because I had never been there before…). This time I was able to discover the exhibition “Vaux Le Vicomte goes to the cinema” (which is unfortunately over now).
In any case, it’s a visit not to be missed during your hotel stay if you have a car (using public transport is definitely more complicated). Also, for the Christmas period, the castle will be decked out in festive decorations and offer new activities on the theme of a “Gourmet Christmas” from November 25, 2017, to January 7, 2018.

Château de Vaux Le Vicomte
77950 Maincy
open from 11 AM to 5:45 PM on weekends and during school holidays from November 25
Prices: €18.50 / €13 for children aged 6 to 17

Take a perfume workshop with Téo Cabanel in Fontainebleau
The Maison Téo Cabanel is part of what is called Haute Parfumerie and its creation dates back to the 19th century. The Préambule workshop that we discovered presents itself as a sensory journey into the heart of the scents and raw materials of the brand. It is an initial introduction to the art of perfumery and the universe of Téo Cabanel through the house’s creations.

Dine at the Le Patton restaurant
This table is undoubtedly a very beautiful address in Fontainebleau and I warmly recommend it if you ever pass by the area.
Our dinner in photos:

open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch only
Price: menu at €41

Take a tour of Disney Village
The advantage of the Disney Village is that, not being in the park (but just next to it), its access is therefore free! It’s a great tip for enjoying the Disney atmosphere a bit but for free (well, obviously without the attractions, let’s not push it…). The Disney Village is an entertainment area that offers places to eat, drink, go to the cinema, shop, and why not try the PanoraMagique captive balloon. We didn’t do it this time but I’m making a note of it for a future visit!

Disney Village
Open every day from 7:30 AM

Lunch at Annette’s Diner
A very good address with a 50s “Happy Days” atmosphere where the servers are on roller skates! On the plate, you find super good burgers (no really, I was completely won over!) and killer milkshakes… In short, if you have never been, it’s a mandatory visit during your time in Disney Village.
Price: Halloween burger at €20.99 / milkshake at €10.99

Dine at Vapiano Disney Village
You know my penchant for this casual chain (which I’ve already talked to you about on the blog) which offers products with Italian accents (pasta, pizza, salads, tiramisu…) in a setting of large oak tables and plant walls. On the menu of these restaurants, pasta, pizzas, and “dolci” made daily, dishes cooked “à la minute,” an aromatic garden in each restaurant, and even a risotto for the gluten-intolerant.
The ordering system is quite original, as it is registered on a personal card that is given to you when you enter the restaurant. You take what you want at the different counters by registering it on the card and you pay the amount indicated on the card when leaving (perfect for putting an end to the “bill calculation” headaches between friends at the end of the meal).

A day at Disneyland Paris
The two Vienna House hotels are obviously perfectly located for getting to Disney for a day or more. So, since I had quite a few photos of our Disney getaway (and even a little video!), I made you an article totally dedicated to the subject.

_
I take this opportunity to thank the Vienna House hotels for their great welcome and also all the super team of bloggers who made this stay magical: Little Miss In Paris (author of this lovely group photo below), Johanna Alam, Mamas Paris, Sonia et caetera, Fit Toni, Katia from Le Blog de Katy Kat, Victoire for Disneyland Paris Bons Plans, Hello Disneyland, and Amandine for Dimension Parcs.

I hope that with all this, I will have made you want to discover the Vienna House hotels and if you also have your tips and good addresses in Seine-et-Marne, don’t hesitate to share them in the comments!
