For the first time in my life, I tested a Thai massage. But since I was a little afraid it might be too “energetic” for me, I opted for the organic essential oil massage, known for being softer and more relaxing, and I can tell you that given my daily stress levels, I really needed it!
First of all, a little introduction to the place. The institute is located on rue de Vaugirard in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. I found the decor quite pretty, and the small river flowing in an inner courtyard, which you can see through a glass wall, immediately immerses you in an exotic and relaxing atmosphere. As for the welcome, I was a little more disappointed; it was a bit cold, and I almost felt like I was bothering them, which wasn’t necessarily a very good first impression (which was also the case when I booked by phone).

As for the massage itself, which lasted 1 hour, I must say it was very relaxing, and unlike other massages I’ve tested, I felt completely rested because all parts of my body were massaged, from head to toe. However, one little thing bothered me a bit during the massage: the ambient music stopped at the beginning of the massage, and as a result, every 2 minutes, we could hear quite loudly the noise of the subway passing really just above the institute. It was therefore difficult to fully relax in these conditions. Fortunately, later during the massage, someone came to put some music back on, and so the sound of the subway was masked again.
In the end, my impression is mixed. The massage itself was great, but I think that at this price, they could also make efforts regarding the welcome, the atmosphere of the place, and ensuring the client feels comfortable. So, I appreciated the massage, but I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.
