A short article for the holiday season to fully enjoy the countdown to Christmas, one of my favorite times of the year to end the year on a beautiful and gourmet note. Here is a small selection of past Advent calendars from previous years, gathered here and there to make you want to open a little box with a lovely gift every day until December 24th. In any case, I really want to do it every year…
A little background: The Advent calendar is a German tradition, created to help children wait for Christmas. Originally, they were given a religious image each morning, accompanied by a sentence from the Gospel or an invitation to perform a good deed. Over time, treats and other sweets gradually replaced the images.

Gourmet Advent Calendars
I must say that I love gourmet calendars, even though I always try to diversify the selection by adding a few calendars featuring products that are still edible, but more original. I have also tried to include a selection with a very variable price range.

This Parisian patisserie offers cakes, chocolates, and biscuits with a low sugar content. It uses ancient, fiber-rich flours with a low glycemic index, such as lupin flour, coconut flour, as well as semi-whole wheat T80 flour. Their creations have a glycemic index below 30, which represents a decrease of approximately 60% compared to that of an ordinary patisserie. They also have an igc® certification: Controlled Glycemic Index. Inside the calendar, there are 24 pieces with an assortment of 9 different praline chocolates.

I really like this French brand that makes chocolates (without palm oil, it must be noted) with a very good value for money, which I regularly talk about on the blog.

I really like this French tea brand founded in Paris in 1848 (formerly Compagnie Coloniale) because its products are truly high quality. It also ensures the entire process of blending, flavoring, and packaging whole tea leaves in its own workshops in France.
2021 Calendar
This Advent calendar from the Compagnie Coloniale brand offers a varied selection of 24 teas and herbal teas in Berlingo sachets, to discover the different flavors of this fine tea house. An important point to note, this tree-shaped calendar is double-sided, entirely Made In France, and presents each window in a small removable cube that looks like a gift package. And what’s more, it is reusable!
