The Japanese tea room Toraya

Two weeks ago, with some girlfriends, we tested the famous Japanese tea room and pastry shop Toraya, which has been established in Paris for over 30 years.

This place offers a wide variety of traditional Japanese pastries as well as Japanese tea tastings, including high-quality green teas.

The verdict: the quality of the products is truly excellent, and although you should expect high prices, if you appreciate Japanese culinary traditions, particularly those surrounding the world of tea, you won’t be disappointed.

You can discover Japanese specialties that are very difficult to find in Paris, and the tea preparation is extremely delicate and precise (you aren’t left to manage the steeping time yourself, at least not for the high-quality tea). A place that I highly recommend for fans of the Land of the Rising Sun.
