I have a secret dream that I’m going to share with you. I would love to visit all the most beautiful hotels in the world. Seeing as I don’t get to do that very often, you could say I’m far, very far from reaching my goal… But hey, little by little, at least I am discovering magnificent places that are etched into my memory.
I have a bit of a nomadic soul, and in general, I love traveling; I love being somewhere other than my own home—at a hotel, staying with friends, with strangers, or in a bed and breakfast. I always feel good in these places that aren’t my home, who knows why. I can’t explain it, but I love it. So, I was thrilled when the agency TemptingPlaces offered me the chance to discover the new design of the Hôtel Original located in Paris near the Place de la Bastille.
And plus, playing the tourist in your own city is really fun, especially when you live in Paris, the city you never stop discovering. I’ll let you be the judge of the decor with the few photos that follow.
Regarding the hotel’s services, I’m not the best judge as I don’t know Parisian hotels well, but I did have the opportunity to spend a night with 2 friends in the wonderful Alice’s room (for 4 people). The girls and I had a lovely pajama party in the room, the details of which I will spare you.
For my part, I really liked the room and its striped decor, and I appreciated the generous breakfast in the morning before heading back to work. Special mention for the super plush pillows in the room; I want the same ones at home!
Admittedly, I do find the prices a bit high for the size of the rooms (unfortunately I didn’t see the more spacious ones in the hotel), but perhaps that’s the Parisian rate; I admit I visit hotels in Paris very rarely, so I’m not well-informed about the prices practiced in the capital.
In any case, I thank TemptingPlaces and the Hôtel Original for this discovery and this night in a setting that was half fairy tale, half jellyfish-land.
