A night at the Okko Hotels Porte de Versailles

Last June, the young French group Okko Hotels inaugurated its first 4-star Parisian establishment near the Porte de Versailles. The group also owns hotels in other French cities: Nantes, Grenoble, Lyon, and Bayonne.

This 149-room establishment, which we were lucky enough to test, is the work of architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, and the interior design was done by Patrick Norguet.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I also organized a giveaway to let one of you win a night at the hotel!

I must admit that when I saw where the hotel was located (right next to the ring road), I got a bit worried. Mainly because I was afraid of the noise and concerned that I would have trouble sleeping (and I’m quite picky when it comes to that)…

And actually, it’s quite incredible because the building is remarkably well-designed from that perspective. Once you pass through the hotel door, you enter a bubble and are completely cut off from the noise; it’s actually quite magical…

I also really loved all the common areas, the office corner with computers, newspapers, and books available, and of course the dining space too.

Our Classic room in collaboration with Laurent-Perrier

To celebrate the hotel’s opening, they created a room dedicated to all their partners: Michel et Augustin, Kalios, Dear Muesli… and Laurent-Perrier. Furthermore, some Laurent-Perrier champagnes are now also distributed at the hotel.

We really liked this room; it’s simple, stylish, and super functional.

We ended up taking a nice series of photos and “jumps on the bed” because there was beautiful light when we arrived.

Price: the price for a classic room can vary from €109 to €399 depending on the timing (when we went, it was €119) + an additional €20 for double occupancy.

The Apéritivo

This service (free for hotel guests!!!!!) is quite innovative and really one of the brand’s strong points. Indeed, this little apero moment, besides being super friendly, is also ultra-convenient and allows for some savings.

You have the choice of a very well-stocked and varied Italian-inspired buffet, and a welcome drink is also offered.

Breakfast

The buffet is very well-stocked and the products are high-quality (as with the aperitivo), which is very much appreciated.
