Macaron Day 2013 with Pierre Hermé

This year, March 20th falls on a Wednesday, and that actually matters! Yes, it does, because March 20th has been the fixed date for celebrating the International Macaron Day for 8 years now.

Organized in France and even abroad, this festive day was initiated by pastry chef Pierre Hermé along with Relais Desserts (bringing together the best pastry chefs in France and the world).

Pierre Hermé macarons suspended with floating rose petals.

Throughout the day on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, Relais Desserts pastry chefs will welcome their customers to share a bite of pleasure. The concept? “One macaron for one donation“. In exchange for a complimentary macaron tasting, everyone will be invited to make a donation to the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose (Cystic Fibrosis) association.

This celebration of indulgence aims this year to raise funds and raise awareness about cystic fibrosis.
