Today I’m taking you to discover several hotels from the Fabulous Hôtels Group located in Seine-et-Marne, the largest department in Ile-de-France by surface area, not far from the Disneyland Paris park. The hotel group owns three hotels in Val d’Europe right next to each other: the Dream Castle, the Explorers, and the Grand Magic Hotel. I had discovered 2 of these establishments in 2017 when they were still managed by an Austrian hotel brand, Vienna House. They were completely renovated and reimagined when they were taken over by the Fabulous Hôtels Group brand, and we returned to test them with my favorite photographer in June 2026.

The Fabulous Hôtels Group establishments
The group therefore owns 3 hotels with different themes, which are obviously ideally located in Marne-la-Vallée, very close to the Disneyland Paris park, making them very convenient if you want to take a trip (short or longer) to the two Disney theme parks. But unlike hotels located inside the park, I really appreciated the green setting of the two establishments we had the opportunity to test, with a beautiful view of the countryside and the lake that adjoins them.

The Grand Magic Hotel
This is the hotel where I stayed during my trip with a group of bloggers and influencers in 2017. The theme of this 4-star hotel with 396 rooms and suites is obviously magic, as its name suggests, under the protection of the hotel’s mysterious guardian: Monsieur Maurice. The great thing is that there are places with games for children (young and old), such as an arcade game room for example, or outdoor games (inflatable structures during the summer season). In short, it’s the perfect opportunity to fall back into childhood for the duration of a getaway.
The hotel also has a spa area (like its neighbor the Dream Castle) with an indoor pool (with two different basins) and a relaxation terrace that we were able to enjoy a little. Finally, the establishment also offers a lounge bar (Le Grand Hall) with a cozy space to sit, but we didn’t test it.

Our double room
The hotel offers family-type rooms (for 2 adults and 2 children) with a double bed and bunk beds for the children and a “journey to the stars” themed decor. As for us, with my favorite photographer, we tested a double room for a couple, of course, located on the 3rd floor of the hotel. In the room, there is a courtesy tray with a kettle, tea, and coffee, as well as a small fridge (which is practical if you have planned your picnic for visiting the park, for example). I also really liked the L’Occitane bathroom products, because it’s a brand I really appreciate.
The little eco-friendly extra: in the room, there is a small fabric bag that you can hang on your door at night to signify that you don’t want your room cleaned the next day (this only works if you stay for several days, of course) and in exchange, the following day you find a little surprise in your bag…

Restaurant Chez Maurice
This is the hotel’s main restaurant (it’s also where you have breakfast in buffet form) and it overlooks the gardens, which is quite pleasant. It is presented as an all-you-can-eat buffet (with starters, main courses, and desserts + hot drinks). We also had the chance to participate in one of the themed evenings organized by the restaurant. And that evening it was a Brazilian evening with a Brazilian-flavored buffet and two Brazilian dancers for entertainment (the kids loved it!).

Breakfast
Breakfast is offered as a buffet (hot and cold & sweet and savory) and is located in the same place as the Chez Maurice restaurant. If the weather and temperatures allow it, I recommend you have your breakfast on the terrace, it’s very pleasant. Just be careful with the birds, some are quite thieving and do more than just eye your plate if you know what I mean (I’m speaking from experience)…

The Dream Castle
This second hotel, very easily accessible on foot from the Grand Magic Hotel (about 5 min walk), is built on the model of classic U-shaped castles with a French-style garden in its center. The decoration of this hotel is linked to the theme of castles, fairy tales, and knights. The 4-star hotel offers 399 rooms and suites. The hotel lobby and reception areas are spacious and invite you to sit down for a little moment of relaxation.

Our double room
This hotel also offers double rooms, suites, and family rooms for 4 people. We had a lovely attic double room on the 5th and top floor, very quiet, and the bedding was also of very high quality. Here again, the bathroom products are from the L’Occitane brand and we were lucky to have a bathtub. And we also had a magnificent view of the French-style gardens and the basin of lights from our window. In the room, there is also a courtesy tray with a kettle, tea, and coffee, as well as a small fridge.

Bar l’Astrolabe
This place is a bar during the day but also in the evening and it also offers quick bites if needed. We didn’t have the opportunity to test it, however.

Restaurant La Rôtisserie
The restaurant La Rôtisserie offers an all-you-can-eat buffet with starters, main courses (including grilled meats), and desserts. Be careful, however, drinks with or without alcohol are not included in the menu (they are extra), but you have a hot drinks corner accessible in self-service. We were impressed by the variety of the buffet (there is really something for everyone) and it was quite good I must say and the products are also of good quality. In addition, this type of formula really adapts to visiting the parks I found, because the buffet is open until 10 PM and you can return late from the parks and still eat upon our return.

Breakfast is offered as a buffet (hot and cold & sweet and savory) and is located at the Le Bosquet Gourmand restaurant.

Wellness areas
The hotel also has two pools and a spa and wellness area. There is a very beautiful outdoor pool and another heated indoor one (the Dragoon Lagoon) with also a jacuzzi, a hammam, a sauna, a fitness room, as well as a massage area also with treatments signed by La Sultane de Saba. In 2017 I had been able to discover a body massage in the traditional Thai style. I didn’t know this type of massage at the time and I really liked this mix of postures, manipulation, and breathing.

Explorers
This 3rd hotel of the group is also located next to the other two, this time with a theme around great explorers. We didn’t have the opportunity to test this 3rd establishment but it seems very suitable for children and it is a 3-star hotel.

The Fabulous Hôtels Group perks
- All three hotels offer free shuttles (schedules are posted daily at the hotel reception) with regular service to the Disney parks (about a 10-minute ride – which is a great advantage since park parking is notoriously expensive), as well as to the TGV, Thalys, Eurostar, and RER train station.
- Free on-site parking (for any stay booked via the hotels’ websites) with over 300 spaces for each hotel.
- Indoor and outdoor play areas for both big and little kids (we spent several hours playing shuffleboard with the team of happy bloggers back in 2017…)
- Free Wi-Fi.
- Free access to the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, pool, and fitness center at the Grand Magic Hotel and the Dream Castle for guests of both hotels.

Visit the Château de Vaux Le Vicomte
I’ve already mentioned the Château de Vaux Le Vicomte on the blog (to learn more, check out my article on the subject), which I visited 3 times in 2017 (a funny coincidence since I had never been there before…). In any case, it’s a must-see during your hotel stay if you have a car (it’s much more complicated by public transport).
