A short article for this festive season to kick off the countdown to Christmas with you—one of my favorite times of the year to end 2025 on a beautiful and indulgent note… Here is a small selection of Advent calendars, gathered here and there, to make you want to open a little window with a lovely gift every day until December 24th. In any case, I really want one again this year…
A bit of history: The Advent calendar is a German tradition designed to help children wait for Christmas. Originally, they were given a pious image every morning, accompanied by a sentence from the Gospel or an invitation to perform a good deed. Over time, treats and other sweets gradually replaced the images.
Furthermore, as in previous years, I am organizing a special Mademoiselle Bon Plan Advent Calendar throughout December (a bit reduced this year due to lack of time to prepare it properly), with lovely prizes to be won, either on my social media or on the blog starting December 1st. You will therefore need to search throughout the month of December to find where the prizes are hidden to participate in the various contests.

I must say I adore gourmet calendars, even if this year I tried to diversify the selection by adding a few calendars featuring products that are still edible but more original. I also tried to include a selection with a wide range of price points.

Léonidas Advent Calendars
Léonidas offers to please the whole family by proposing a calendar for adults and also a calendar for children! I adore this tea brand that I mention to you regularly. This 2025 Advent calendar is adorned in shades of blue and gold, themed around the first snowflakes, to help us wait for the holidays! Boissier Advent Calendar
The origin of this house is that of a master confectioner, Bélisaire Boissier, created in 1827. He was indeed at the origin of glazing chestnuts, a new technique he initiated to stop the decomposition process of a train full of chestnuts at Gare de Lyon, the shipment of which was spoiling. He subsequently applied this technique to other confectionery products. In 2025, the Angels calendar contains 24 of the emblematic confectionery items from Maison Boissier.

This Parisian patisserie offers cakes, chocolates, and biscuits with a low sugar content. It uses ancient, fiber-rich flours with a low glycemic index, such as lupin flour, coconut flour, as well as T80 semi-whole wheat flour. I already told you about La Boite du Fromager in my article dedicated to my good cheese addresses! This year I’m talking about it again to introduce you to their Cheese Advent calendar which offers a journey into the heart of French regions.
From December 1st to 24th, this calendar offers a selection of exceptional cheeses in collaboration with François Bourgon, Best Craftsman of France (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) 2011, from the most traditional to the rarest.
