I love cheese. You must have realized that if you read my article on the Savoy cheese route. It is a product I am particularly fond of and never tire of, as it offers a rich and vast variety of flavors, textures, shapes, and scents… That is why I wanted to share this article with you, my guide to the best cheese shops in Paris or online. Indeed, in recent years, I have developed a particular taste for quality cheese, to such an extent that I prefer to consume it less often, but when I do, I try to eat only good products.
So, in this article, I am offering a selection of great Parisian addresses around this theme, including cheese shops (one of which is online) as well as a class to learn how to taste cheese just as you would taste a fine wine. At the end of the article, you will also find several cheese boxes to discover great products delivered directly to your door.

Source Fromagerie
This shop, opened in February 2024 by a passionate couple, Chloé and Didier, offers cheeses from small artisanal producers and also serves as a wine cellar with a selection of organic or natural wines. Here, all products are well-sourced: the vast majority of the cheeses are French, artisanal, and made from raw milk; the wines, natural or biodynamic, are selected following meetings between the owners and winemakers at their estates or trade fairs; and the fine grocery section, while compact, is also very well thought out and chosen with heart.

Saisons Fromagerie
This beautiful cheese shop, located in Paris just a stone’s throw from Beaubourg and Les Halles, offers exceptional cheeses and is therefore a wonderful address to add to your list. In addition to an incredible selection, mainly of raw milk cheeses, the place is also a fine grocery store and offers charcuterie, wines, beers, cider, fruit juices, jams, and honeys, all sourced from small-scale farms and selected with love by Mariette.
On top of all this, the establishment has a small cellar in the basement where this couple of lovers of good things (and therefore good cheese) organizes tastings…

Must-try:
- Bleu d’Achel
- The goat’s milk tomme with truffle, which has the perfect balance
- The Austrian tomme with wild flowers (perhaps my favorite)

Paroles de Fromagers
Paroles de Fromagers specializes in cheese tasting and organizes workshops in a 17th-century aging cellar in Paris. The goal of these workshops is to introduce participants to caseology, the equivalent of what oenology is to wine, and it is absolutely fascinating! First of all, because you realize that you have very bad habits in terms of cheese consumption; we rarely take the time to properly savor this product (even just smelling it before eating it, an important and truly tasty step when you get into the habit of doing it). It is therefore a course and an experience that I recommend and suggest to all cheese lovers!
The little extra: before the tasting (which is offered paired with drinks), you have the chance to also visit the aging cellar of the Jouannault cheese shop where the course takes place.
