Antigymnastique Week in September across France

Antigym or Antigymnastique is a bodywork method based on listening to your body and using movements that are both simple and powerful to engage muscles deeply. As an alternative to traditional gym workouts, it helps regain well-being and energy, improves flexibility and mobility, frees up breathing, and chases away stress.

As an interesting tool for understanding and taking ownership of your body, this method seems very similar to the yoga I practice, which is why I will definitely go and test a session during this Antigymnastique week, which will be the perfect opportunity to meet practitioners and discover the method by participating in free discovery sessions.

Benefits: muscle tone, mobility, chronic muscle pain, breathing, digestion, sensory perception, self-confidence, stress management…

From Monday, September 7th to Sunday, September 13th, 2015

I tested Hoop Dance

In August, I went to discover HoopDance at the Cité de la Mode et du Design, with HoopEra, the first Parisian association entirely dedicated to Hula-Hoop.

The association offers 2 classes per week on site from July 1st to September 30th, 2015.

My verdict: a fun and ultimately accessible class for everyone (yes, even I managed to get the hoop spinning in no time), which combines sports and dance. You should definitely try it, it’s extremely entertaining, and plus, it slims your waist!
