This little place on Rue Mouffetard is a spot I’m going to keep preciously in my notebooks for this summer, as I’ll be coming back to check out their lunch menu! In the meantime, I went to this spread bar—the first of its kind in Paris—specifically to enjoy their afternoon snack.
Plus, it’s ideally located for me, since my work is not far from the lively Rue Mouffetard, which I love strolling through during the warmer season on my lunch break.

When you walk into Le Sweet Spot, you’re greeted by an impressive spread wall featuring over 60 product references from all over the world, and I can assure you there’s something for everyone. Plus, all the spreads (which rotate regularly) can also be purchased to enjoy at home… yum…
The cozy, girly tearoom decor gives the place a warm and friendly vibe, making you want to sit down quietly to unwind or get some work done (I’ve already spotted a perfect corner to set up my laptop…).

Must-try:
- The basket of toast served with a selection of the 3 spreads of the week: the week I went, it featured a praline spread from PhiloSophie Gourmande, an L’Epicurien Coco Passion jam, and a Reese’s chocolate peanut butter.

- The lemonade and the homemade iced tea, perfect for the summer.

The little extra: a small terrace with a few tables overlooking Rue Mouffetard, which is a pedestrian street—as a reminder—which is always a bonus.
Price: toast basket combo with 3 slices of toast + 3 spreads of your choice for €3.90, with extra bread at €1.50 and extra spread at €1 / Toast basket served with the spreads of the week + drink for €6.50 / homemade iced tea for €3 / homemade lemonade for €3 or €4 depending on the size (small or large)

Le Sweet Spot 108 rue Mouffetard 75005 Paris open Tuesday 10am-7pm / Wednesday to Friday 8:30am-7pm / Saturday 10am-7pm / Sunday 10am-6pm summer closure from August 1st to 17th, 2016
