Some of these dates are awaited with impatience by some, while others dread the arrival of these hated celebrations like the plague. This is a bit the case with Valentine’s Day… So, here is a small selection of tips, gift ideas, and some treats to make the most of Saturday, February 14, 2026, whether you are in a relationship or not, because I believe we really need love in these gloomy times.
For the record: Valentine’s Day dates back to the end of the Middle Ages. At the court of the King of England, February 14 was then a holiday for singles, yes really! Men would draw lots for the name of a young lady who would become their “Valentine,” and for a week, she would receive sweet notes. It was nice, wasn’t it?

Veepee’s Valentine’s Day for Animal Lovers
This year, Veepee’s Valentine’s Day for Animal Lovers is back. This annual campaign to support shelter animals collects over 110,000 products each year as well as nearly 490 tons of straw and hay, contributing very concretely to the well-being of thousands of animals welcomed by partner shelters and associations.
Practical information about the operation:
- The operation will start on February 14, 2026, at 9:00 AM and will last until February 17 at 6:00 AM for French Veepee members.
- Shipping costs are free and provided by the carrier VIR.
