All of a sudden, I realized that I had almost never written a thematic article about fitness and wellness tips and I think it was high time to remedy this!
Here is my little selection of fitness, beauty, and wellness tips in Paris (sorry to everyone else, but I don’t have the means to travel all over France to test every tip in the country yet, although I certainly wouldn’t be against it…)
Sport and breakfast with Andros
To combine sport and a refreshing breakfast, Andros Matin invites Parisians from May 14 to June 29, 2014.
On the program: 45 minutes of physical activity (Pilates, Body Combat, TRX, Cross Fit, abs/glutes, stroller gym), led by professionals, followed by a balanced and vitamin-rich breakfast, of course.
All of this takes place for free 2 times a week on Wednesdays from 8 am to 9 am and Saturdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, outdoors in the parks and gardens of the capital.
On Sunday, June 29, a large gathering for a closing session of the event will take place from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.

Ping Pong brunch at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal
Since the end of April, the Pavillon de l’Arsenal has provided 3 ping-pong tables with balls and rackets to allow Parisians to play table tennis for free. This operation will run until September 1, 2014.

Eco-friendly aquabiking
Some details on aquabiking, a technique I discovered thanks to the first Parisian center Body Forme.
Body Forme, the first eco-friendly aquabiking (bike in water) concept already present in Neuilly-sur-Seine, has opened its first 150 m2 Parisian center in the 6th arrondissement. The brand is also planning to open new centers in the Paris region and in the provinces (Caen) soon.
The Body Forme “bike in water” concept combines relaxation, wellness, and sport (muscle toning and cardiovascular health, reduction of cellulite and circulatory problems) and it is the only one to recycle the water it uses in its cabins!
Operating in a closed circuit (according to the regulatory standards of establishments receiving the public), the system saves about 18,000 euros of water per year in each center, while allowing the cabins to be filled in less than a minute.
While allowing for gentle and soothing physical activity, aquabiking is an activity recommended by many doctors, physical therapists, and fitness trainers.
Body Forme caters to a clientele of all ages, whose common ground is wanting to stay in shape.

The Weleda Slimming Program
is a brand that I really appreciate and have been using for a few years now, because I find the products to be high quality while being very affordable.
In the theme of this fitness article, I therefore wanted to tell you about their Organic Birch Slimming range, with plant extracts, which guarantee the purity and vitality of the active ingredients to regain fitness and dynamism.
The Weleda tip :
Through its application, the product helps tone the skin, stimulates circulation, and thus promotes the dislodging of fat, provided that it is accompanied over the long term by a specific diet program and regular physical exercise.
The Weleda slimming program is based on 3 essential foundations:
Balanced nutrition, favoring certain nutritionally interesting foods, healthy and varied cooking, with appropriate cooking methods.
- Regular sports activity, to regulate appetite, calm stress, and sculpt your body.
- And a program of treatments and food supplements, to act both from the inside and the outside, in order to optimize weight loss, reshape your silhouette, and regain fitness and vitality.

Weleda gets Parisian women running
Given the success encountered over the last 3 years, Parisian women will once again be able to take advantage of the training sessions offered by Weleda, at the Bois de Boulogne and the Bois de Vincennes (these training sessions started at the end of March).
On the program: 12 running sessions between girls and supervised by a coach, enough to get back into sports gently and in a good mood, to feel better in your head and in your body.
These training sessions respect everyone’s level, beginner or experienced, so that everyone progresses at their own pace, in complete safety.
Practical details:
The training sessions (between 1h30 and 2h) take place on Sundays starting at 10 am, since March 30 and until September 28, 2014 at the Bois de Vincennes and the Bois de Boulogne.
Online registration on the Weleda website (€60 for 12 sessions).

Umanlife, partner of the Swedish Gym Clubbing
Concerned about the wellness and fitness of its customers, Umanlife is partnering with Swedish Gym to offer gym clubbing classes.
The concept? Practicing simple exercises based on the joy of movement in a nightclub atmosphere.
The first event took place last April in the heart of the Palais de Tokyo, where 150 participants met for a Swedish Gym class like no other with a fitting playlist, spotlights, and a disco ball!
Participants also have the opportunity to win Luz Collections and iHealth products, a partner of Umanlife thanks to a raffle organized during the event.
The next date will be in May normally, as this somewhat special gym class should take place once a month.
Reservation to be validated before the event date. Price: €15

Serenitae
I very recently discovered a new brand of beauty products, wellness, and Asian organic decor, so I’m taking advantage of this article to say a word about it.
Serenitae offers rare teas, body milks and essential oils, edible candles, incense, celadon items, as well as artisanal furniture and bags.

The 1st edition of the Tour of Generations
The Tour of Generations is a cycling tour that will take place throughout France from June 28 to July 5, 2014.
This event is not a sporting competition; the goal is rather to allow participants from different generations to share an intense moment and connect for one or more stages of the route.
Over 8 days, duos of participants from different age groups will travel nearly 900 km by bike to raise awareness about the relationship between generations.
To participate, one condition: be accompanied by a family member from a different generation (father-son, grandmother/grandson, uncle/niece…) and commit to finishing the stage.
To prepare for this route, training sessions will be organized in the different “stopover cities” via social networks, including Paris.
Balanced nutrition, favoring certain nutritionally interesting foods, healthy and varied cooking, with appropriate cooking methods.
