Okay, I confess, I am a child of the 80s. I grew up watching cartoons from the Club Dorothée, I had a Kiki doll, and I borrowed books from the library bus every week (if you don’t know what that is, the verdict is final: we’re not from the same generation!).
Anyway, what I loved about Le Club des 5 is the atmosphere of the place, which truly transported me back to the childhood years. A Tintin book on one side, a vintage foosball table here, a Goldorak figurine over there. I went on a kind of time travel journey just by going there for lunch.
The little extra: the theme songs from ‘Space Sheriff Gavan’ or ‘City Hunter’ playing when you go to the restrooms. Seriously, you have to try it, it’s magical…
As for the menu, once again, it’s super nostalgic (and therefore delightful) with fun, even unexpected combinations that we would have totally created if we were running a kitchen as kids: Babybel croquettes, salmon tartare with Espelette pepper, a Kinder heart-melting madeleine, a Petits Lu shortbread cookie with Nutella, banana, and whipped cream,…
By the way, here are some photos to make your mouth water.
I also discovered that Le Club des 5 offers brunches on the weekends! A great reason to go back then.
