Last December, I was invited to discover the Spa dans le noir, located in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. This spa strives to stand out from its Parisian competitors by offering its clients a different tactile, sensory, and human experience.
Indeed, the concept of the Spa is based on the same philosophy as the “Dans le Noir” restaurant: the treatment takes place in total darkness, allowing you to rediscover your senses.
The treatments are also provided by visually impaired professionals, which promotes the integration of disabled workers, as these individuals are certainly the most competent in the dark.
My opinion: Regarding the venue, I didn’t find anything particularly remarkable to say about the layout of the Spa; the changing room is perhaps a bit small, but well…
The real plus of the Spa dans le noir, in my opinion, lies in the quality of the massages. I am not exactly a spa regular, but I have tested a few, and I can say that the massage provided at the Spa dans le noir was among my top experiences in this type of establishment.
I had requested a rather stimulating massage, and the massage therapist asked me quite a few questions regarding the benefits I wanted the treatment to bring me and my preference for a gentle or more firm massage.
In conclusion, the Spa dans le noir might not transport you to another universe visually, but once the lights are out and your eyes are closed, the massage therapist’s hands will certainly take you to a soothing world.
