Restaurant Lorette et les Garçons

As its name suggests (and yes, that was the reference!), this restaurant is located just behind the Notre-Dame de Lorette church in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. We went to discover this establishment with my favorite photographer last December to test its winter menu.

This bistro, run by guys (you might have guessed), offers French cuisine that revisits the great classics of our gastronomy, in an authentic, simple, and friendly decor that wants to put you at ease the moment you walk through the door.

Here, the goal isn’t necessarily to revolutionize the restaurant world, but to create a warm neighborhood bistro where Parisians love to gather, and the establishment’s large benches invite us to take the time to enjoy our meal and share important moments with our loved ones. In short, a lovely philosophy that we obviously want to support!

Plus, the icing on the cake, as you will see below in the description of the dishes we tasted, the prices are quite, very reasonable, which is always nice too.

To try:

  • For starters, we had the gratinated onion soup (€7.50) and the organic string-tied salmon, dill cream, and brioche bread (€11.50).

  • As the favorite photographer is a great fan of beef bourguignon, he obviously tested the house version (€20), and I don’t think he was disappointed at all!

  • For my part, I let myself be tempted by the Laguiole sausage with its mashed potatoes (€17), simple but effective when the products are good.

  • For dessert, we shared a Tarte Tatin with Isigny cream (€8), which was very good, I must say…

  • As for wine, the restaurant offers good quality wines by the glass with prices between €5.50 and €9.
