A trip back to childhood with Sébastien Gaudard

Thanks to the Priceless Mastercard weekend (little teaser: a program I will tell you more about very soon!), I had the chance to both discover the magical and regressive place that is the Sébastien Gaudard bakery and, as a bonus, attend a Yule log creation class with the master himself.

A great moment, I assure you.

Sébastien Gaudard book "Le Meilleur des Desserts" and wrapped gourmet gifts.

View of the Sébastien Gaudard bakery kitchen, shelf with books and a siphon.

And this for several reasons. Firstly because I know it now, it is certainly the only time a small group will have had access to the holy of holies of the bakery (yes, yes, I feel like a vile privileged person).

Then because Sébastien is a charming man, truly. Because he has a sense of ethics, good products, and a contagious enthusiasm for his gourmet art. And finally because his cakes are so good, so beautiful, in short, to try them is to adopt them!

An address to remember if you want to rediscover the taste of the cakes from your childhood.
