A while ago, I had the chance to test the hammam at the Spa Terre d’Iris, which is located not far from Paris, in Neuilly sur Seine. Since I never miss an opportunity to relax (and yes, Parisian life can sometimes be a bit hard on the nerves), I wanted to share this moment of relaxation with you.
To set the scene, this 400m2 spa includes 4 areas: a beauty-hair salon, a fitness area with a personal trainer (whom we unfortunately couldn’t test as he wasn’t there), a lounge area for dining, and finally, the spa with a hammam and massage cabins.
For my part, I only had access to the hammam, but I can tell you that I had a very pleasant time and came out completely relaxed…
The main room of the hammam, the laconium, features an ice fountain and a tropical eucalyptus rain shower under which I stayed for hours—pure bliss! The hammam is enhanced by cool mists, all enriched by various olfactory impressions. I sweated quite a bit inside, but I must admit that in the middle of July, it was a bit hard to bear all that heat.
The cherry on top was that they even brought me mint tea to finish relaxing in the laconium. In short, the welcome was impeccable. In any case, I was delighted with the time I spent at the spa, even though, of course, I would have loved to try the massages as well. Maybe for another time…
For access to the sensory area including the hammam, the ice fountain, and the tropical rain showers, count on €40 (and yes, it is a luxury spa after all!).
