This is undoubtedly my biggest gourmet crush of the last few months! What a joy this culinary journey was, which my favorite photographer and I embarked on during an invitation to lunch at Chamarré Montmartre, run by chef Antoine Heerah.
Only a five-minute walk from the Sacré-Cœur, the restaurant, which has been located at the site of the legendary Beauvillier establishment since 2008, is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of touristy Montmartre. For sunny days, it also offers a beautiful terrace, straddling the steps of the Butte.

Antoine Heerah, a French chef of Mauritian origin, offers a very personal gourmet cuisine in his restaurant, blending sweet, tangy, salty, and spicy flavors in a skillful mix of multiple influences, but above all in a constant search for balance that takes our palates on particularly interesting taste paths.
He has mastered the art of citrus, which he blends with virtuosity into his earth and sea-inspired recipes. In his dishes, you will find plays on textures and flavors that I found extremely successful and surprising.
His background and culinary resume are impressive, as his first restaurant, Le Chamarré on Avenue de la Tour Maubourg, earned its first Michelin star in 2003.

A bold chef with unique cuisine, Antoine Heerah‘s personality is palpable in his restaurant, which he wants to be a refuge for all gourmets and lovers of life in search of culinary emotions. As you can tell, I was completely won over by both the cuisine and the chef’s personality, and it is an address I advise you to rush and discover as soon as possible!
To taste:
Here are the photos of the round of dishes from the Saveurs des Iles tasting menu imagined by Antoine Heerah (which therefore varies according to the season, the chef’s mood, and product availability) that we enjoyed during our lunch.

- As an amuse-bouche to whet the appetite, violet artichoke velouté with sucrine lettuce, radish, and asparagus, and bell pepper juice with a little pata negra Bellota Guijuelo (I love it, it’s so good!).

- French Oyster from Normandy, Spéciale n°2, chilled with yuzu coulis and lemon caviar; this gives the product a fuller texture, with the little lemon beads popping in the mouth. A real delight, and I even think it could appeal to people who don’t usually enjoy oysters.

- The low-temperature cooked egg with mushroom brunoise and caramelized onions in a balsamic vinegar sauce.

- Mediterranean tuna snacked with teriyaki sauce, octopus, asparagus, and ceviche-style lime sauce.

- Chef’s interpretation of the bouillabaisse, with scallops and sole.

- A dish centered around veal, here declined in several ways with different cuts and preparations.

- Bachès citrus dessert with kumquats and yuzu, one of the chef’s specialties.

You leave this tasting menu perfectly satisfied but not at all heavy, which is very pleasant.
Saveurs des Iles tasting menu: served for the whole table / 45 € per person
The great deal: market lunch with starter + main course + dessert for 32 € / starter + main course or main course + dessert for 24 € / main course for 15 €
Evening price: tasting menu for 70 € / Starter + main course + dessert menu for 50 €

Regarding wine, the restaurant’s sommelier is obviously very knowledgeable and also offers little gems, so I have only one piece of advice, “let yourself be guided!”
The great wine deal: market wine 6 € per glass, 25 € per bottle

The little extra: The beautiful terrace straddling the steps of the Butte (something to keep in mind for the upcoming summer season!), which can accommodate about 25 people seated and 40 for a cocktail. Covered and heated in winter, it can be privatized, which is always interesting to know.

Thanks to Chamarré Montmartre for this invitation.
