Open since 2018 just a stone’s throw from the Île Saint-Louis in Paris, this Mediterranean-influenced restaurant was a wonderful surprise for my favorite photographer and me when we first discovered it in November 2018. That experience was confirmed by a second visit in November 2024, almost exactly 6 years later. At Hébé, the establishment offers discerning foodies high-quality, gourmet plates designed for sharing (a concept I am a huge fan of, as you may have noticed).
In terms of decor, you’ll find an original, elongated establishment with a sleek, simple, contemporary style that gives the space an elegant and intimate tone. The service is very professional and efficient (especially when it comes to food/wine pairings, which I highly recommend you try). The menu is crafted by Chef Ramzi in collaboration with Michelin-starred Chef Michel Portos. The plates offer a beautiful balance of flavors and high-quality products, featuring a curated selection of partner producers that result in very successful dishes centered around inventive, seasonal cuisine. The wine list is curated by Stéphane Derenoncourt, artisan and winemaker.

Our 2024 test lunch:

- Mains: grilled gnocchi with button mushrooms, sage parmesan cream, garlic, and fried sage (€27); roasted duck fillet with parsnip cream, crispy parsnips, and charred pear (€38).
- Dessert: creamy dark chocolate with sesame praline, whipped cream, fleur de sel shortbread, and black sesame ice cream (€16); vanilla and coconut milk tapioca, rum-flambéed pineapple, and passion fruit sorbet (€16).

- For dessert, we tried the mirabelle plum clafoutis with orange caramel and vanilla ice cream (€10).
- As for drinks, there is a very lovely and interesting selection of wines (by the glass, notably between €6 and €12) from France as well as from around the world.
