During the winter season, nothing beats a 100% cheese-based meal to warm your body and soul. In this article, I’m sharing a selection of my tested-and-approved favorite spots to enjoy a raclette or a fondue in Paris. Naturally, as I always do, I update this list over the years with my latest discoveries. Feel free to share your own favorite spots in the comments too.

During the winter season, Mama Shelter La Défense transforms its Sports Bar into a winter chalet, featuring a menu of raclette and Mont d’Or in partnership with Monbleu (a brand renowned for its quality cheeses), along with mulled wine, signature cocktails, and a friendly après-ski atmosphere. We love this hotel chain, as we’ve already tested several locations in France and Europe, and they always offer trendy and welcoming living spaces. It’s the perfect opportunity to come and try their comforting all-you-can-eat raclette menus and their génépi-based cocktails, for instance.

Tuesday Raclette Night at Quai Ouest

This brasserie located in Saint-Cloud on the banks of the Seine offers a lovely, comforting menu for the winter season. This restaurant in the western part of Paris reopened in 2022 with a “refreshed” decor and offers a stunning view of the Seine. In addition to its winter menu, Quai Ouest also hosts raclette nights every Tuesday evening with a set menu for €27.50 per person.

On the menu: plain and smoked raclette cheeses, artisan charcuterie from Maison Conquet in Aubrac, potatoes, and salad. They bring you a small raclette grill for 2 people that doesn’t take up too much space and is positioned on the side of the table, but you need a little patience, as it doesn’t heat up as quickly as a classic raclette machine. Quai Ouest is also the perfect place for large groups because there is plenty of space!

Italian raclette at I Grappoli

This charming Italian spot, nestled in the 14th arrondissement of Paris on Place Denfert-Rochereau (and which I already mentioned in my article on my favorite Italian restaurants in Paris), offers an Italian raclette for the 2023/2024 winter season (we also tested it during the previous season). This Italian-style raclette is served with Taleggio, a very good cow’s milk cheese from Lombardy, and accompanied by a selection of fine artisan Italian charcuterie. Here, the raclette is served pre-plated, so there’s no need to have a machine on the table to melt the cheese, which is quite practical.

Splash is a restaurant from the Bistrots Pas Parisiens group, located in Asnières-sur-Seine in the 92 area. For the winter season, the place turns into a mountain bistro with the installation of over 20 vintage ski gondolas and cable cars from the 60s, a snowmobile, a snowplow, a chalet, a fireplace, and vintage skis—a guaranteed change of scenery! For the occasion, the restaurant offers mountain-style menus with a choice of raclifette (a mix between raclette and tartiflette), fondue, or tartiflette. The little extra is that when you book, you can ask to eat in one of the gondolas (up to 12 people max). I highly recommend it because it’s truly a great experience; my favorite photographer and I loved it.

Raclette menu at Monbleu

It was in 2022 that we visited the Comptoir Monbleu location (the brand has 3 different addresses) to discover the raclette menus of this fromagerie that also doubles as a restaurant. There are 3 different all-you-can-eat raclette menus (for cheese and potatoes): the traditional one with an assortment of several raclette cheeses from the fromagerie (plain, smoked, morbier, wild garlic, or even truffle) + potatoes; the veggie one (same but with an additional plate of vegetables); and the charcuterie one (again, same but with a plate of charcuterie). The big advantage of this place is obviously the quality of the cheeses (since it is a fromagerie first and foremost).

This cheese bar located in the 10th arrondissement offers a super nice all-you-can-eat raclette menu for the winter season. And what’s really great (besides the very attractive price) is that they bring you plenty of different kinds of raclette and you can taste everything! To accompany the raclette, the place also offers an interesting selection of wines (by the bottle or by the glass), and they are all offered “à la ficelle,” meaning you only pay for what you drink. And one last very cool point to remember: the establishment offers a basement room that can be privatized for free (you only pay for what you consume in cheese and drinks), and there is a turntable and vinyl records available to play good music or even for DJing.

The RichesMonts Hot Spots

This ephemeral Hot Spots by RichesMonts (yes, named after the famous raclette brand) returns every year in different locations and with different menus as well.

_

At the end of 2025, Hot Spots by RichesMonts returned for a 4th edition, this time set up in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. This new edition offers a series of unique settings: a snowy forest, an enveloping Nordic sauna, or even a cozy campfire. As night falls, the place transforms into a bar with a menu of exclusive cocktails. And from Friday to Saturday, the atmosphere is enhanced by piano-bar sessions, blending the pleasure of a raclette dinner with live melodies. The only minor drawback: I didn’t like the dessert we had at all, the pavlova, which I found far too sweet for my taste (and be warned, desserts there are for 4/6 people).

In 2025, Hot Spots by RichesMonts moved in January to the 9th arrondissement at La Démesure. The program features XXL dinners to share with friends, enlivened by DJ sets and festive vibes into the night. The place offers an all-you-can-eat raclette menu for €35 per person with, for your choice, a very generous piece of Grand Affinage raclette or smoked raclette to melt with a traditional raclette machine, and all this is served with potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and a selection of charcuterie.

In addition to raclette, the place offers an exclusive menu that highlights melted cheese with beef skewers with smoked raclette, truffle mac & cheese, a revisited tartiflette, a pan-fried mushroom dish accompanied by a perfect egg with herb emulsions…

The Hot Spots RichesMonts is set up until February 5, 2023, in the Break Paris restaurant located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. The program features an original menu concocted by Wilfried Romain (one of the 2022 Top Chef candidates) where raclette is revisited in every dish! We tasted the 64-degree egg with raclette, the baby potatoes with raclette siphon and crispy bacon, the raclette ham and truffle croque, or even the pollock with fondue sauce. And for those addicted to classic raclette, you can enjoy it in the evening with potatoes, charcuterie, and a professional raclette grill (you know, the one you probably don’t have at home!).
