Christmas Tea Time at the Buddha-Bar Hôtel

To end this year on a high note on the blog (and especially with something sweet, you know me), I suggest taking you for tea at the Buddha-Bar Hôtel Paris, which has been transformed during these festive periods into an enchanted forest.

This little moment over a cup of tea and a cake was also an opportunity for me to step through the doors of this 5-star hotel for the first time.

This historic residence, a former 18th-century private mansion now transformed into a hotel establishment, is located in the Faubourg Saint-Honoré district.

Its decor offers, in the heart of the capital, a journey to Asia and China, particularly with the dragon motif, which is strongly present throughout the hotel and is the emblem of the Buddha-Bar Hôtel. The general atmosphere of the place gives the impression of being in 1930s Shanghai.

The establishment’s tea time is served in the hotel’s lounge bar, Le Qu4tre.

Selection of pastries:

  • The Buddha-Bar mini Yule log with a crispy shortbread topped with miso vanilla caramel and coconut mousse with a pineapple center
  • The passion fruit chocolate entremet
  • The Saint Honoré with spiced pear and white sesame cream
  • The mandarin tartlet, Italian meringue, and gingerbread
  • The soft lemon cake, infused with yuzu (which was my choice for this tea time)

Lemon-shaped yellow dessert with a red leaf on a black plate.

Price: €24 / person for 1 hot drink (Palais des Thés tea, hot chocolate, or coffee) + 1 sweet creation from the pastry chef.

Entrance to the QUATRE LOUNGE BAR of the Buddha-Bar Hôtel with manicured trees.
