It was while discovering and testing bars for my article on cocktail bars that I realized I needed to write a separate article for hotel bars in Paris, as it is truly a specific but very interesting category within the same subject. This time, I have once again gathered a selection of cozy and hushed places for you, firstly because that is often the atmosphere exuded by Parisian hotels, and also because I particularly enjoy dimly lit settings when I’m drinking a triple S drink (insiders will understand), even more so if I am in good company…

The Bar’O at the Odyssey Hotel
The Bar O at the Odyssey Hotel is well worth knowing. The place is very stylish, cozy, and the atmosphere is intimate. Imagined by Ora-ïto, this bar aims to be futuristic in the shapes and curves that define it. The decor is made of undulating serpentine wooden slats that evoke the modulation of a musical wave.
And above all, it’s the meeting with the new bartender, Francisco, that is truly worth the detour. He loves talking about cocktails as much as he loves concocting them according to the tastes of his guests. Some of his spicy creations were a beautiful discovery, and my body and soul felt warmed as I left the hotel. The cocktails mix fresh, high-quality products, some of which are rarely used elsewhere, such as carrot juice, chili puree, or elderflower syrup, and you can even choose to compose your own cocktail if you feel like a barman for an evening. The ideal place, therefore, for an intimate romantic date, with a touch of casual class.
Creations to try:
- The Firebrand: Gold Strike, whiskey, blueberry liqueur, chili juice, and spices.

Bar'O, Odyssey Hotel open from Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM 19 rue Hérold, 75001 Paris Cocktail prices: between 10 and 14 €

La Mezcaleria, the speakeasy of the 1K
La Mezcaleria is a Parisian speakeasy cocktail bar, hidden on the Boulevard du Temple. It is at number 13 that the 1K Hotel Restaurant Bar offers revisited Peruvian gastronomy. And it is also at the back of this establishment with Peruvian sounds that we discover the new confidential address of the establishment: a bar clandestino with Mexican flavors. We access this Mexican enclave through a unique, restricted, and quite confusing passage within the restaurant’s kitchens… It is, in any case, the ideal place to discover Mezcal, “The Drink of the Gods,” in a mysterious setting. This Mexican spirit, a neighbor to tequila, is an alcohol ranging from 38 to 48% and was the traditional drink of the peasants of Oaxaca, who consumed it to forget their long days of labor in the agave fields.

Appreciated for its harsh, generous, and captivating side, it is the main ingredient of La Mezcaleria’s cocktails, of course! Neat, the Mezcal is served in jicaras (tropical fruit of the calabash tree) or in vasos veleros (engraved Mexican tasting glasses). Anchored in the hidden courtyard of the 1K, the Mezcalerienne wave offers a change of scenery in a hushed, musical, and authentic atmosphere, thanks to decor mixing local culture and an underground spirit.
The word to drop at the entrance: Be careful, however, depending on the crowd, the entry can be selective, so don’t hesitate to dress up to go to La Mezcaleria and drop a little word in Spanish at the entrance: “Para todo Mal Mezcal, Para todo bien tambien“!
The little extra: worth testing, the traditional guacamole served at the bar is just delicious!
Creations to try:
- El Diablito, a bloody, spicy, and macho Mezcal cocktail
- Corazon, translate as Heart, a sweeter cocktail, the favorite of the female crowd
La Mezcaleria, speakeasy of L'1K
13 boulevard du Temple 75003 Paris
open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:30 PM to 2:00 AM

Bar at the Hotel Le Belmont
During my discovery of the bar in 2015, the very friendly bartender of the Hotel Le Belmont at the time, Alexandre, offered a sharp selection of cocktails and spirits but without a menu! The principle was simple: after a short chat with you, he would concoct a tailor-made cocktail according to your tastes (or not, because he liked to play against preconceptions, which I agree with) and your desires. You come here for the warm atmosphere of the bar, to sit comfortably in the velvet armchairs or on the large oval bench located in the center of the room. During my second visit in 2025, I was greeted by Laurent, who gave us a little cocktail lesson. The place had not changed, and the atmosphere…
The good tip: the bar is open from the early afternoon and is lively until late at night.
To try:
- The Belmont: tequila, St Germain liqueur, passion fruit syrup, ginger beer, and lime juice.

Mixology and Food Experience at La Table du Kube
Extremely well-known for its ice bar, where you savor frozen cocktails in a down jacket at -18 °C, the Kube is a hotel located in the popular La Chapelle neighborhood, and it also features a nice table with a very original menu that proposes mixing small tapas with cocktails.
On the program: Eight different plates, paired with cocktails in a harmony of colors and flavors.
To try:
- The Cosmopolitain, paired with a sea bream tartare with vanilla truffle oil and a parmesan shortbread with black tapenade.
- The Kube (vodka, curaçao, lemon, mirabelle plum, and mandarin syrup) paired with a white and green asparagus salad seasoned with hazelnut oil, as well as a chicken pastilla and a red pepper velouté.
- The Matador (Calvados, tequila, apple juice) married with the chef’s rabbit rillettes with apple and horseradish and a salmon gravlax tartare with tonka bean and its apple and horseradish emulsion.
- L’Orgasmic (cherry, Cointreau, Baileys, strawberry juice) combined with a beef carpaccio and its langoustine pesto and parmesan cream, as well as a carrot gazpacho with coffee emulsion.
- The Mojito paired with a fennel salad seasoned with a kiwi vinaigrette and a pan-seared foie gras escalope deglazed with rum on a vanilla pineapple chutney.

La Table du Kube at the Kube Hôtel Paris 3, passage Ruelle 75018 Paris The little extra: the service is attentive and thoughtful. Cocktail prices: cocktails + tapas menu between 28 € and 35 €

The Champagne Bar at the Mövenpick Neuilly Hotel
The Mövenpick Paris Neuilly Hotel is a 4-star establishment, very close to the capital after all, even if you have to take the end of metro line 3 to get there by public transport. The bar of this hotel, the “58 Bar & Lounge,” has no less than 80 champagne references, thanks in particular to the passion of its bartender, Christophe Pons, for this type of sparkling wine. It is worth noting that a real bar so specialized in champagne is very rare in Paris…
On-site, you can discover great houses, but above all, small producers, less well-known, whose production offers more typicity, more originality than what one can taste normally. So don’t hesitate to let yourself be guided by the skills of the staff, who will guide you if you are a novice and who will make you discover all the subtleties of champagne. And then, finally, all the interest of this kind of place lies in the desire to let yourself be guided to the discovery of a product by passionate professionals who are precisely there to share their discoveries and their favorites.

Mövenpick Hotel Paris Neuilly 58 boulevard Victor Hugo 92 200 Neuilly-sur-Seine The good tip: the bar is open every day until 1:00 AM. Price: by the glass, expect between 15 and 16 € per glass / bottle starting at 67 €

The Bar La Vue at the Hyatt Regency
This bar, which I talk about regularly on the blog because it often organizes themed events, is located on the 34th floor of the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile hotel, between the La Défense business district and the Golden Triangle, at the Porte Maillot metro level. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful views in the capital, as you overlook Paris with a magnificent perspective of the Eiffel Tower, and it is clearly the great asset of this bar. The bar offers a great selection of cocktails with new creations for many events throughout the year.

Bar La Vue / Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile
3, Place du Général Koenig / 75017 Paris
open Sunday to Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM and Thursday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM

The Bar at the Sofitel Le Faubourg Hotel
The Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg has just been completely redecorated by Didier Gomez and is starting a beautiful collaboration with Yannick Alléno via the opening of the new restaurant within it, the Stay Faubourg. It is truly the spirit of Parisian fashion that reigns in this hotel, which is nestled in the heart of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré. On the side of the Bar du Faubourg, you enter an intimate and elegant bar with graphic decor, adorned with 60s fashion photos, with charming boudoir sofas that remind us that this place was a private mansion in the 18th century…
Regarding the menu, the names of the cocktails are an ode to the great names of couture: Gabrielle, Yves, Elsa, Jean-Paul, or even Cristóbal… In the future, the barmaids of the place also want to serve more retro cocktails, based on recipes that have now disappeared from most bars’ menus. A matter to follow, then, and to savor… Another asset of the place is the particularly attentive welcome that makes you feel “at home” quickly, with personalized attention paid to each customer, which is extremely pleasant. Not to mention, of course, the love of good products and also the sense of detail and balance on which the creation of the best cocktails is based (in my opinion, obviously).
To try:
- The Christian, champagne cocktail with floral notes, delicate like an organza corolla skirt signed Dior
- The Gabrielle, like a white tweed embellished with black grosgrain
- The Yves, where the Moroccan flavor of spicy mandarin becomes satin adorned with purple sequins
- The Jeanne, with the iconic blue of the grand lady of Rue Boissy d’Anglas, Jeanne Lanvin, enhanced with gold brocade
- The Jean-Paul, black and red daring salt and pepper, bold like Jean-Paul Gaultier’s devoured velvet

Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg 15 rue Boissy d'Anglas, 75008 Paris The good idea: these couturier cocktails are offered with coordinated "dip’in" bites (7 € each), created by Yannick Alléno and which pair perfectly with each of the couture cocktails Cocktail prices: between 14 € (alcohol-free cocktails) and 22 € (couturier cocktails)

The Makassar Bar at the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe
The Renaissance Arc de Triomphe bar is a very beautiful place with contemporary design, with a small lounge atmosphere, ideal for starting the evening and having a quality cocktail. These are imagined and created with care by the head bartender, David Combet, and his team. Little additional info: from May, the bar will offer a goat cheese bar with 7 different varieties on the menu (price: 12€ per person self-service).
The good tip: the bar also has a small terrace hidden at the back of the building for sunny days. If the nice weather is there, I advise you to go sip your mixture there.

The cocktails of the FRAME Californian Brasserie
It is on the Left Bank, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, that the FRAME brasserie is nestled, adjoining the Pullman hotel, which offers a culinary trip to California, in the heart of the capital and a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower… We eat very well there, but the interest of the place also comes from its bar, which reveals a beautiful selection of original cocktails, with bold flavors and homemade ingredients.

The bar at the Hotel Jules et Jim
This is a confidential address that I hesitated to share here, so much I wanted to keep it just for myself… Invisible from the street and nestled in the heart of the hotel, the bar offers many cocktails imagined by the hotel’s bartender, but if you are adventurous, you can also let yourself be carried by your mood of the moment and taste a creation imagined just for you by the bartender. You come here to settle down in a very relaxed atmosphere and sip the establishment’s delicious cocktails for hours. For those who do not necessarily appreciate alcohol, the bar also offers very interesting virgin cocktails (starting at 9 €). As a bonus, if you are a bit hungry, the establishment also offers a few things to nibble on (jars accompanied by toasted bread at 12 €).
The little extra: the fresh seasonal fruits that go into the composition of all the cocktails.

Bar of the Hôtel Jules&Jim 11, rue des Gravilliers 75003 Paris Open Monday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Cocktail prices: between 12 and 15 € The little extra: a very charming small interior terrace for sunny days
