You know how much I love wandering around the Ile-de-France region, especially on weekends; it’s the perfect opportunity to get away from the Parisian daily grind and take a little trip elsewhere, without going too far either…
That’s how, one Sunday, my favorite photographer and I returned to Versailles (don’t hesitate to check out my article on the subject) to brunch at Positive Café with some friends from Versailles. Plus, the establishment is ideally located in the heart of the city, right next to the Palace of Versailles.

This beautiful and very recent spot is run by a charming couple, Odette and Tristan, and is located right across from their cantina, which had become too cramped and was the first organic juice bar in Versailles back in 2015.
In their restaurant, Odette and Tristan offer a cuisine that is generally vegetarian, healthy, organic, and made with local products. Some dishes offered are also vegan and the pastries are gluten-free.

I really loved the very cozy vibe of the place and its responsible, plant-filled decor, happily mixing wood, metal, and plants. To give you an example, the wooden furniture comes from recycled Indonesian boats.
And so, on Sundays, the restaurant offers an à la carte brunch that we tested during our little visit to the city.
What to try:
- For drinks, I recommend you try the matcha latte (€4.50), the caffè latte (€4), or just a simple black coffee (€3.20), because as the owner is a big coffee enthusiast, it is truly high quality.

- As a dish, I found their Avocado Toast (€7) delicious—as colorful as it is tasty!

- The dish of the day can also be a nice option, and that day it was a large stuffed mushroom with a special sauce (the name of which I can’t quite remember…).

- Another perfect brunch option: the Eggs Benedict (€13) with English muffins, smoked salmon, sautéed spinach, a poached egg, and hollandaise sauce.

- To end the brunch on a sweet note, you can indulge with your eyes closed in the homemade tiramisu (€6), the dark chocolate cake (€6), or the ricotta cheesecake (€6).

- Otherwise, for a sweet but healthy version, you can opt for the Açai Bowl (€7) with açai pulp, banana, coconut milk, seasonal fruits, and homemade granola. All accompanied by a small cold-pressed juice (€5.50).

The tip: the lunch set menu with appetizer and main course or main course and dessert for €16.
Thanks to the Positive Café and to Catherine for this lovely invitation.
