While writing this article, I realized it had been quite a while since I’d posted a brunch article on the blog, even though I was quite regular at this sport a few years ago… It must be said that with the brunch craze, it has become quite difficult to find quality ones. I am therefore delighted to be able to offer you a good brunch for the comeback of this section!
Located in the heart of the Villiers district, a stone’s throw from Parc Monceau in the 8th arrondissement, Marcella is a kind of friendly and warm Italian inn where it is nice to settle down because you feel a bit “at home”.

The name of the establishment, Marcella, actually comes from the Italian grandmother of the owner who wanted to pay tribute to her in this way.
On the plates, we find authentic cuisine with the flavors of the Peninsula, prepared by chef Massimo Curti, with fresh products sourced from small local producers.

The setting, redesigned by Maison Malapert, is rustic but cozy. On the ground floor, there is a welcoming room with a large communal table, a bar made of solid blue old oak, cut stone walls, and a fir frame. Upstairs, where we were, is a cozier, more intimate area with a fireplace corner and comfortable sofas.

Let’s get to their famous all-you-can-eat Italo’Brunch (completely packed the Sunday we were invited to test it!). It is presented as an all-you-can-eat buffet.

- You first choose between roast beef and smoked salmon (the dishes are served at the table), then you let yourself be guided by your greed in front of the pretty buffet.

- Savory side: scrambled eggs, macaroni gratin, bacon and roasted potatoes, or Parma ham, arugula, and parmesan.

- Sweet side: croissants, pains au chocolat, brioches filled with Nutella, but also panna cotta, tiramisu, or fresh fruit salad, all accompanied by hot drinks and fresh juices.

My great joy, I admit, was to be able to eat tiramisu (very good!) to my heart’s content. I only went back for seconds, but that’s mostly because I had eaten too much before…

- Also worth tasting are the house’s Italian cocktails: Bellini, Spritz, Fragolino, Shiuma Artigianale… so many names that make you travel!

The little extra: outside, a large heated terrace, covered in winter by a veranda, which transforms into a spacious terrace that can accommodate up to 60 people as soon as the sunny days arrive.

Thanks to the Marcella trattoria for this invitation.
