If you have been following this blog for a little while, you must have noticed that I appreciate street food and that I have a particular love for burgers, a dish to which I have already dedicated several articles (I am attaching this short list as a link at the end of this post). Today, I am presenting my selection of chains (which therefore have several locations in Paris and sometimes elsewhere in France or the world) specializing in burgers. I obviously update this article regularly to add new addresses that I test over the years.

Le Camion qui Fume
This brand is one of the pioneers of Parisian street food, especially for burgers. Today, it has several restaurants as well as food trucks, like the one in front of the Mk2 Bibliothèque where I regularly go. In April 2025, I went there with my favorite photographer to discover their collaboration with the plant-based meat brand Redefine Meat and with Jimmy Street-Food (which I had mentioned in my article on my selection of vegetarian restaurants in Paris), who developed the recipe for this limited-edition 100% plant-based burger, the Jimmy Street Fume (on the menu at Le Camion qui Fume locations between late April and late May 2025).

Mamie Burger
Mamie Burger Bonne Nouvelle
Mamie Burger is a very good Parisian establishment for enjoying succulent burgers in a friendly atmosphere, and there are now 5 locations in Paris. I really like this place because I discovered it at the very beginning, when they only had their small location on Rue Saint-Fiacre, and recently I discovered the brand’s latest location, on Boulevard Bonne Nouvelle.
The quality of the products (100% Aubrac French meat) and the kindness of the staff are always present at this fifth location, with the advantage of a larger space with a slightly bistro-like ambiance, so you can enjoy your burger in complete tranquility and take your time. And it is true that Mamie’s burgers are truly worth the trip; they might even be my favorites in Paris…

We tested:
- The Beau-Père (limited edition novelty / €10.50) with mushrooms, Coulommiers cheese, batavia lettuce, and pepper sauce.
- The Beau-Frère (novelty / €10.50) with Bleu d’Auvergne cheese, caramelized onions, arugula, and old-fashioned mustard sauce.
- As a side, we chose the Mamie fries with melted cheddar (€4) in “gourmand not reasonable at all” mode and the sweet potato fries (€4).
- For drinks, the brand has recently been offering Mamie’s beers in bottles (€5), always a good choice to accompany burgers, I find!
- For dessert, we tried to find one that wasn’t too heavy (to survive the evening) and we were satisfied with our choice: Mamie’s red fruit dessert (€5.50).

The little extra: the establishment’s very nice terrace which allows you to sit outside during beautiful days.

Bioburger
I really like this brand specializing in organic burgers that has no fewer than 6 locations in Paris and the Paris suburbs. Created in 2011, Bioburger wants to offer a 100% organic product while keeping a very attractive price with a great quality-to-price ratio (starting from €11.70 for the menu). Each location is a fast-food restaurant; you queue to order your meal, then a pager notifies you when you can come and collect your tray.
I have already tested several locations of this brand: its 4th address in Paris on Avenue des Gobelins (right next to my old job… too bad I’m no longer in the area…), but also the restaurant that is located next to the Le Peletier metro station.

Price: menu with burger + fries + drink (I recommend the homemade lemonade) between €11.70 and €13.30
Good to know: there is obviously a vegetarian version of all the burgers offered (with a tofu patty)
Thanks to Bioburger and Pauline for these invitations.

King Marcel
This 100% French fast-food restaurant offers homemade burgers with Limousin meat, where you can eat in less than 30 minutes. In addition, in 2021, King Marcel became the first French burger chain to choose the Label Rouge certification for its 100% Limousin beef steaks. Here, you order at the counter upon entering or at the kiosks on-site, then go sit in the dining room and your order is brought to you on a tray.
Regarding the burgers, I really liked the wrapped presentation of the product which helps keep the burger warm, which is super appreciated, because I find there are too many places where you eat your burger lukewarm and personally that ruins the pleasure a little…

Manhattn’s Burger
Manhattn’s Burgers is a New York-style burger restaurant brand and the brand has two locations in Paris (near Montorgueil and in the Beaubourg neighborhood). The concept comes from Belgium and these are the first locations of the brand in France. You can find Belgian fries and sweet potato fries, Belgian beer from our friends at Brussels Beer Project (which I had already talked about in an article about Brussels). But above all, obviously, tasty burgers with good products like aged cheddar, AOC Savoy tomme, a brioche bun for the bun, or even Irish Angus beef.

Ellis Gourmet Burger
Ellis Gourmet Burger Bastille (closed)
A true institution in Belgium, Ellis Gourmet Burger opened its first restaurant in France in September 2016 in the Bastille district of Paris. The two-story establishment is designed and modern with very contemporary graphics. I have been there at least 3 times, I think, and notably to discover the super original burger, the Prawn Star (€17.50) with shrimp, scampi, and other prawns. I also advise you to accompany your burgers with a little Belgian beer or to taste, as we did, the Ruwet Belgian cider that I loved!
The concept is simple: offer good American-style burgers but also with a nice selection of Belgian products, like Belgian beers, fries (also in the Belgian style, of course), and Liège waffles.
We tested 2 of the Signature Gourmet Burgers:
- The Blue cheese Madness (€16) with Causses blue cheese, arugula, and red onion confit.
- The Guaco Waco Lamb Burger (€17) with lamb, guacamole, sesame seeds, iceberg lettuce, red onion, Ellis sweet chili sauce, and avocado.
To taste also: the Meatlover (€16) for meat lovers, a big pure beef steak (origin Belgium Red of West Flanders) prepared by the star butcher of Belgium Dierendonck, also with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, mustard, and ketchup; the Blue cheese Madness (€16) with Causses blue cheese, arugula, and red onion confit; I advise you to accompany your burgers with a little Belgian beer, the Maredsous blonde (€5) or dark (€5.50) which is really very nice.
The little extra: the beautiful interior terrace reminiscent of New York’s hidden rooftops and which will be a perfect spot for next summer!
