During the first edition of the culinary event Martinique Gourmande, which took place in Paris from February 7 to March 1, 2015, I had the pleasure of participating in a Martinican meal that introduced me to the gastronomy and flavors of this Caribbean island.
This unique initiative aims to help Parisians discover Martinican gastronomy through special Martinique-themed menus in restaurants, festive activities, and culinary workshops, notably at the Atelier des Chefs.
Following this experience, I felt inspired to seek out great Parisian addresses for a gourmet stopover in Martinique without ever leaving the capital.
The specialties: AOC Martinican rum, which has the reputation of being one of the best rums in the world; chocolate
