For several years now, Portugal has been on a roll when it comes to tourism. Easily accessible from France, beautiful weather, and magnificent heritage (among other things) are encouraging the French to go and discover it. However, not everything in Portugal is well-known, and that is what I am going to talk to you about in this article: the schist villages (aldeias do xisto in Portuguese), which are located in the center of Portugal, within a mountainous landscape that is traditionally sheep-farming country.
Mademoiselle Bon Plan herself was unfortunately unable to make the trip, but it is her favorite photographer speaking to you (as happens from time to time) about this magnificent journey that allowed me to discover a whole new side of the country, very authentic with magnificent landscapes and charming hillside villages. As usual, I will also talk about good places to eat, places to stay, things to visit, etc. In short, the complete guide to properly discovering the region!
