Senlis is located in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region, not far from Chantilly, actually. It is a historic town with 2,000 years of history. The city is classified as a “remarkable heritage site”.
This medieval city, with vestiges dating back to the Gallo-Roman era, is not lacking in charm or character, and filmmakers have certainly noticed, as the town is often used as a set for historical films (“Queen Margot”, “The Miser” with Louis de Funès…).

Where to stay? Chambres d’Hôtes La Bohème
This bed and breakfast is located right in the heart of the town of Senlis. It has 4 rooms (2 standard rooms and 2 superior rooms) that are very cozy with very nice decor. As for us, we stayed in room no. 4, which was very charming but overlooked the rather noisy main street (a lot of car traffic, even in the evening). I therefore recommend that you choose one of the 2 rooms at the back of the building, which I imagine must be quieter.
