And just like that, 2016 has barely begun and I am already dreaming of sharing beautiful future encounters with you, helping you discover magical places, and inspiring you to go out even more this year, despite everything—precisely so you don’t desert performance venues and so you can fill Parisian halls with your laughter, your tears, and your applause.
I also haven’t forgotten to try and negotiate some great giveaways for you as usual (one of which is waiting for you at the end of this article!) so you can win even more invitations to concerts and shows for this year 2016, which I wish to be full of discoveries.

Richard and Romane Bohringer in full flight…
A red balloon has taken flight in the capital and landed on the stage of the Théâtre de l’Atelier. Holding the string are two exceptional actors; their unique feature is that they are father and daughter, and they need no introduction. Romane, lively and delicate; Richard, vulnerable and strong all at once.
Two personalities, the same artistic heritage who, on stage with J’avais un beau ballon rouge, set off on the vast terrain of family love and the difficulty for two generations to find common ground.
A play that seems to have been written for them, yet comes from the pen of the Italian Angela Dematté. She traces the tumultuous journey of Margherita Cagol, wife of the founder of the Red Brigades.
A poignant, lively text that goes perfectly with the personalities of our two Bohringers, who meet for the first time in a burning face-to-face. A family reunion at its peak!
Richard Bohringer, indomitable and charismatic, steps into this apartment setting like so many others. His gaze and stride have changed. The fire has given way to this bitter fragility that the years have shaped. The wisdom of a father who doesn’t know how to make his daughter understand that she is wrong. The despair and anger of a daughter whose revolutionary ideas fail to excite the comfort of a man convinced by an ideal comfortably installed in the warmth of the home.
They have everything to be united: the blood bond, respect, a strong character. And yet, everything builds up to, little by little, fade away, fall apart, until the point of no return. The fear that invades the father, convinced that his daughter is going astray. The shame of a daughter whose struggle pushes her to acts of violence that go beyond her.

Political idealism, the revolutions that have shaped social values in constant mutation, break against the contact of a bygone conservatism. Who is wrong? Who is right? The blindness and radicalism of this woman who never stops raising her fist collide with the guilt of causing suffering to a father whose unconditional love undermines and diminishes him.
At the heart of this struggle, a powerful bond, memories, and always love. A duality as destructive as it is salvaging, but whose outcome remains uncertain. Richard Bohringer tears at our hearts… Romane stimulates them… Perfect.

STOMP at the Casino de Paris
The STOMP troupe is known worldwide. In our country alone, 1 million spectators have seen them on stage. This troupe consists of eight artists who are all at once musicians, dancers, actors, and percussionists.
They promise us a surprising show using everyday objects to coordinate the choreography of this show with no words.
Cathy’s take:
This show is truly breathtaking. For my part, I didn’t know them and I was curious to see how to tell a story where only objects, with the “complicity” of the artists, are on stage.
What is incredible is that they manage to flatter the different sounds of all these objects while accompanying it with striking visuals. I was blown away and, what’s more, they are so funny!
Throughout the show, the artists didn’t miss out on joking around. This mischief delighted the audience and we even participated in the sound effects (with our hands) by following the instructions of our virtuosos. We really had an excellent evening because it is a show for everyone that I highly recommend.
Stomp until February 07, 2016 duration: approximately 1h45 Rates: from 34.50 € to 67.50 € Casino de Paris 16 rue de Clichy 75009 Paris

To celebrate the launch of its 2015-2016 season, the Orchestre de Paris created a short film featuring an original chase scene behind the scenes at the Philharmonie de Paris, leading to an unexpected crush.
