The 10th edition of the Paris Polar Festival will take place in the 13th arrondissement of Paris from November 22nd to November 25th, 2013.
This 4-day festival, which explores a literary genre too often considered minor, is organized by the 13th arrondissement town hall and the Paris Polar association. It covers all genres, from cinema to music, including painting and photography.
Mademoiselle Bon Plan’s personal selection:
- free screening of the film Out of the Past by Jacques Tourneur at the Cinéma l’Escurial on Friday, November 22nd at 8:00 PM
- on Saturday, November 23rd, book signings, panel discussions, treasure hunts, fingerprinting workshops for the whole family, and award ceremonies at the Polar Fair from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the town hall’s ballroom
- a fingerprinting workshop on Saturday, November 23rd from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- on Sunday, November 24th, the Polar Fair continues from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the town hall with book signings, panel discussions, and mystery walking tours
- the libraries of the 13th will also participate in the festival by organizing mystery readings, meetings with authors, exhibitions, and more…
- free screening of Spielberg‘s wonderful debut film Duel at the Cinéma l’Escurial on Monday, November 25th at 9:00 PM
- a mystery treasure hunt with the Paris Ma Belle association, which organizes amazing tours in Paris where you get to turn into a detective for a few hours as you wander the capital’s streets in search of clues
